Roly's Bistro opened in Dublin in November 1992 and quickly became one of the city's busiest and best loved restaurants. Its reasonably-priced menu and wine list together with a casual, light-hearted atmosphere made it an instant hit with everybody from romantic couples to families, from business executives to local and visiting celebrities. Today, a team of 27 chefs serve freshly-cooked food to over three thousand people a week without compromising on quality and standards. Fresh heated bread is baked daily in the bakery.

Excellent food, vibrant place

Just had dinner at Roly's - would definitely recommend it and go there again. Although it felt like the service was a little slow (might have had to do with the size of our group though - we were 15+ people), the food was excellent and menu selection was good. Visited after a rugby game, despite being extreme Y busy staff were friendly and efficient, shame that the full a la carte menu was not on offer but still good choice, food excellent, the Dublin bay prawn cocktail just delicious as was the Dover sole, perhaps this could have been a little bigger but still good.

This was a neighborhood restaurant, not a tour trap. Food was great. Service was prompt. The menu was varied. Prices were reasonable

Butter is nice in moderation but I would not expect is from Roly's. Palate is perfect for a smoker. Salty, oily... I can't say I enjoyed the set menu. But if you do try you'll need help with indigestion afterwards. The wine list is lovely!

Visited Rolys on January 6th with some friends. Meal was excellent from start to finish, service very attentive & we were able to enjoy a leisurely cup of coffee at the end of our meal without feeling we had to vacate the restaurant. We were a group of 10 & those who had never been before all agreed they would... More

After a lukewarm experience at Roly's cafe nearly two years ago, we were pleasantly surprised when we revisited for brunch in January 2016 and were met by a congenial, fully-staffed crew. Service this time was prompt & attentive. Not only were our different meals perfectly cooked to order, but also the timing of their serving was well-coordinated.

I have been coming to Roly's Bistro for many years as I come and go to Ireland and stay at The Four Seasons Hotel, or now the Intercontinental Hotel. It has changed down the years but I still enjoy it. The atmosphere is always so calming and nice. I wasn't sure the food was as good as it has been... More

Came here with two friends to celebrate my birthday. The place is cramp and noisy as usual. We chose this restaurant because it is convenient for us to meet and parking is easy on Herbert Park Road. I had fish pie as main course but the portion seems to be getting smaller and smaller. Just a pie and that was... More

Roly's seems to be always full and it is not always easy to get a book. It is easy to see why as they really do what they do very well. This is not fine dining but it is food of very good quality and it very reliable. I have been to several lunch parties there for various special occasions... More

Good, professional, high-end mass market, popular, cramped tables. Good service. Busy. Good location in Ballsbridge. Need to reserve.
