Very very good but not great.

Visited here for lunch on a friday and was very happy with everything. The service definitely lived up to the 2 star rating it holds. Were very attentive but not at all intrusive. The setting for the lunch was perfect. We were greeted at the door and enjoyed a drink in the lobby where we ordered... read more

The great ones: Food was FANTASTIC. Once you put it (starter, main or dessert) into your mouth and the tounge taste it, it was MAGIC. You enjoy it much. really. The presentation was amazing. The wine which we chose based on the waiter suggestion was beyond Fantastic. I love it! well, of course, it's not cheap. But I think quality... More

The food is outstanding. That's a given! But, the service is beyond belief. Attentive, coordinated, respectful staff. Almost a "show" watching them work the room. Impeccable style and manner. The room itself is gorgeous. Excellent suggestion by the Sommelier. Etc. Should I go on? Yes! The food IS the star of the show. Go here...and treat yourself to a memorable... More

Great wine list. Be sure to get cheese course with the four wine pairings. Exquisite presentation of all courses. Superb wait staff. Patrick came around to every table the night we dined

Amazing food , served in under stated elegant surroundings completes the perfect stay at the Merrion. We were running a bit late but no one rushed us to the table , we had our pre dinner drink and led to a great seat at the window, The food and the service was superb with attention to every detail. We had... More

The restaurant managed to fit us in on a very busy night and the food was superb as always. The cheeseboard and personal explanation was memoable. Also it is nearly next door to the best hotel in Dublin - the Merrion!

Classic French food, made by French, served by the French. If you want to experience French food, then certainly a visit here is a must. Yes, expensive, but arent most things in life that is quality worth paying for?

... this is the sort of thing you will like. Michelin stars, nice room, excellent service; the food of course very good. We had the degustation menu with wine pairings - recommend pairings because at these prices why risk mistakes (and they were well-chosen). Pet peeve: the pre-dessert. Why? Throws the balance of the meal off, but I can't bring... More
