Nice boozer!!

Had a couple of swifty's in here not too long ago, nice place, rather relaxed, easy going atmosphere, can't go wrong, nicely situated just off Grafton Street.

Popped in here on a Sunday evening, after happening to come across it. Wasn't sure what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised. A nice, friendly atmosphere in a relaxed bar. Would definitely visit again.

We visited here once in October and returned this weekend in March on our second visit back to Dublin! Friendly and welcoming staff, always up for a chat! Food is lovely and the staff go above and beyond to make the visit enjoyable! Tucked off Grafton Street, the location is excellent!

I think the other reviews have pretty much hit the nail on the head with this great little find. Tucked away off Grafton Street this charming pub delivers on all counts with friendly and helpful staff and simple but great tasting food: the Irish stew was superb! I usually struggle with menu choices because of allergies and intolerances but not... More

We arrived in Dublin after an overnight flight from the states. After checking into our hotel and resting a bit, we met friends in our hotel lobby. John suggested The Duke after we visited a couple of museums. We were a party of six with two young girls. We immediately were greeted and seated close to the entrance by the... More

Just went for lunch after a transatlantic flight. Wish we could have been more alert and hungry. But the service was very friendly and prompt, and the Smithwicks went down well. The soup was tasty - wish we could have eaten more. The decor was ... pub - nice. Would definitely go back one day.

I went with a group of 8 people for dinner, no reservation needed. The food was amazing, very good traditional Irish fare. I had the roast of the day (turkey) and some others had the stew and the pie of the day which was a mince pie. Everyone had rave reviews of their food. It wasn't particularly expensive and you... Fantastic pub with good service and food that is value for money. Drinks are a bit expensive, but for where it is located you wouldn't find anywhere cheaper. The carvery for lunch during the week is very tasty and I would definitely recommenced trying it out!

We was on a whirwind tour of Dublin in a day as was on a mini cruise and after a rather cold walking tour we looked around to find a traditional Irish pub to warm up in. We stumbled across the Duke and really liked the look so found a table. The guy behind the bar was very helpful as... More
