have been there a couple of times for lunch recently and liked a lot. The atmosphere is nice, the staff friendly and the food good. Eventually a real Italian cuisine, with simple dishes made with fresh ingredients. The cannolo as dessert is a must. well done folks and see you soon again.

Accidentally found this place. Very unassuming but the food is amazing, like stepping into a cafe in Bologna. Great coffee to go too. A great place for a family meal.

Having lived in Italy for a while I can tell that it is the kind of joint you find there. The food is tasty, the portions honest and the service very friendly. We were three and had a mix of what was on the menu: none of us were disappointed. It is authentic, simple and just very good! Highly recommended

Have been here once before during the summer but just had something small and sat out side. I remember enjoying the dish and the chap who served us was very pleasant. I went again last night with a friend. We sat inside, where it was warm and cosy. Noticed fresh pasta hanging as we went in and the bread was... More

We were a group of six and two of the group had food allergies, but this did not present a problem to the Italian waiter who was very competent efficient and friendly and assured them that all would be taking care of which it was. Particularly impressed with the extensive wine list and the prices are very reasonable when you... More

I took advantage of my Hi-Life Diners Club card and brought my friend out for dinner to celebrate her Birthday. We both started with a special starter which I can't remember the name of but it was was a tipe of tripe served in a rich tomato sauce with beautiful toasted bread on the side (perfect for that sauce), it... We visit relatives in Dublin and it's hard to find places in central Dublin which are not tourist traps. We walked in and football was on a TV. As soon as we seemed to show this wasn't for us, effort was made to check nobody was watching asnd it turned off. The quality of food was what we would expect... More

We have discovered this place just today, following my italian friend advise. Although I'm generally quite critical over what Italian restaurants have been offering here in Dublin in term food's authenticity and the origin of ingredients, I proposed to visit Caffe' Italiano straight away on the basis of positive comments received. First of all, as all Italians I am mad... More

Came across cafe Italiano in Little Crow Street in Temple Bar by accident and was particularly impressed by some of the trip advisor reviews and in particular I tend to be influenced by senior contributors and senior members and there appears to be lots of those who have stopped by this little eatery and said some nice to words and... We only discovered this restaurant a couple of years ago because we have an Hi Life Card and they appeared as new members. This is our 4th visit and each time it just seems to get better. The dishes are not overcrowded with unnecessary bits and pieces and if you order a dish that is what you get. I have... More
