Stayed for a long weekend beginning of Sept 2014. As the title says, it's in an excellent location. Short walk to the main shopping area and the city center of Restarant, the Restarant is clean, fresh and modern. Every member of the staff we met was friendly and helpful. Our table was excellent. It consisted of alounge area (separate TV... More

This is a great place for lunch or dinner. I often have solo lunches here - lovely to sit on the terrace with a newspaper or book or just watching the street life of this vibrant, interesting area of Dublin. The calamari (squid rings in crispy breadcrumbs) reminds me of Greek holidays. The hummus, baba ghanoush, grilled chicken, salads, soup,... More

My first experience of Middle Eastern food outside the Middle East and I was not disappointed. The meal was delicious and great value for money, and they have Lebanese beer. The staff, from Brazil and Lithuania, were both friendly and efficient. Was my only night in Dublin, a pity!

Third time eating here, great food, great value. Thanks to Grigita for the great service. Would certainly be worth another visit.

Great food - wonderful baba ganoush (?) , really friendly welcome on the phone and in person, large portions - I asked and was given a doggy bag - my lunch today. Pity about the noise from the large group. We laft exhausted from trying to hear each other

We loves the food but our table was small and the place was packed :( The dishes are really authentic though and the staff was very kind.

This restaurant was s welcoming. The food was flavorful and the service was perfect. We were so satisfied that we came back the next day. We enjoyed authentic middle eastern cuisine complemented with a wonderful selection of fine teas. The kanafe was my favorite dessert. The ambiance was also warm and comfortable. The owner went out of his way to... More

We visited Damascus Gate for the first time last Sunday evening. It was a very pleasant experience. The decor and ambience are very authentic, with Lebanese wall hangings and other items. The staff were absolutely charming, friendly, helpful and efficient. There is an excellent selection of dishes on the menu, and at very affordable prices. They also have a BYOB... More

I had a fantastic introduction to Syrian food in this restaurant. The food was amazing, the plates were huge and so flavoursome. We share starters and mains and paid very little for such a delicious food. Staff very good they recommend you the dishes according to your tastes and what's more popular. Everything tastes so fresh, I highly recommend this... More
