Disappointing food

Great, friendly service let down by very plain, average food, this charming little restaurant off the main street in Rathmines proved to be a disappointment for me from a culinary perspective. This used to be an old favourite but seems to have been on a slippery slope of late. Now they've even stopped bothering with the freshly baked pita bread. Last time we were there the tandoori oven was apparently "broken". Walked by weeks later and still no sign of it having been fixed or the really talented baker back at... More

I used to go to Little Jerusalem quite a lot. Since they opened the other restaurant and one of the brothers moved the service is much more unfriendly and the portions very small. It was always a bit cramped but used to be welcomign and nice. The last two times I went I said never again. think I will stick... More

Nothing special. I was surprised at the rather small portion size. I got vegetarian food, the quality of which was very average, meals are not cheap either. Place is cramped too, if your going to go out for a meal you may as well do it right.

Great little cosy restaurant down the road beside Slattery's in the middle of Rathmines. They have two sittings for dinner - 7 and 9. Staff very friendly and warm. Food is great but very, very filling! Between 6 of us, we shared 4 starters - hummus, baba ganoush, a great fava bean dip and fried potato and onion. The starters... More

We decided to try Little Jerusalem after enjoying a meal at their larger sister restaurant on Camden Street. It certainly is little, "cosy" in estate-agent-speak, but the atmosphere and buzz was loud and clear! The tables are squeezed in close to each other which makes eavesdropping an involuntary exercise but we didn't mind because we were a group of 4... More

We went there yesterday night...very good experience. The foods is absolutely delicious, you can feel is fresh, and prices are defo affordable. Maybe the service is not the best one ever(even though the staff is very nice, but not super fast),but is a very worthy place.

I usually love Little Jerusalem and have recommended it to lots of people, but last night's experience was SO disappointing! We had a table booked for 8pm, and the food was really good (as usual). But at 9.30 we were asked to leave: we were told that our table was needed by the party at the next table who had... More

Returned to Little Jerusalem earlier this month, having not been to it in over a year. It's tucked away in the heart of Rathmines. The BYOB policy for wine is a big draw for here. The food is perfectly pleasant but I wouldn't rave about it and I think there should be a better range of starters. Staff were friendly... More
