This was a vacation for the wife and I, but having managed manufacturing facilities in England-Wales-France and visiting every quarter, I asked three of my previous employees where they eat in Dublin and Westport. All three highly recommend The Greenhouse for Dublin. There was little chance they would risk steering a previous boss wrong, and, they did not. The Greenhouse... More

I have eaten in many a Michelin star restaurant (Ireland & UK)- this is by far the best food and best value. Chapter one's food would be a good comparable. In my opinionI I would rate this restaurant over the other Michelin star restaurants in Dublin.

Will definitely be back.. Not cheap but worth every cent. Fantastic food and good portion size. Far beyond our expectations and a step above similar fine dining restaurants in the area.

The 5 course, chef's choice, tasting menu began with delightful amuse bouches of wild boar and other tasty bites. We had courses of foie gras, mackerel, cod, and Scottish grouse. The quality ranged from excellent to divine (foie gras and the grouse). Service was impeccable and seamless. THE best meal we've had in Ireland (Dublin, Galway, Dingle) so far in... More

Fantastic 5-course surprise menu in The Greenhouse last week. Every element of the meal was beautifully done and the experience seems to be getting better every time I visit. Food highlights for me were the fois gras royale with buckthorn and eel, sika deer with parsnip and truffle and the exquisite passion fruit soufflé. All of the food was beautifully... More

I think there is near unanimity that the Greenhouse serves some of the best food you will eat in Ireland. It is creative, challenging and exquisite. There is little debate that such a dining experience comes at a premium. Quality ingredients and staff do not come cheap; maintaining a dining environment to complement the exquisite food also requires investment. I... More

Being familiar with the food of chef Mickael Viljanen for many years through his work at Gregans Castle in Ballyvaughan Co. Clare I only recently ate at this, his Dublin restaurant. The 7 course tasting menu was adapted to meet our pescatarian needs, without any hesitation, and we certainly did not feel short-changed in any way for not being meat... More

Had lunch there with my husband on a week day. Food was fantastic and room very pleasant. Will be back for sure. I presume they will get the Michelin star next year

The only option on a Saturday night is the tasting menu but luckily for me I always order a tasting menu in a restaurant of this standard as I believe that you should be able to trust the chef. I had heard a lot of hype about this restaurant for the last two years which can often be a build-up... More
