I had been here for lunch and was looking forward to heading back with friends for dinner. The menu promised alot (for all tastes) and as the (very passionate & friendly) host brought us through the various components of the dishes, we struggled to pick our favourites so decided to chose an array of starters and mains to cover off... Went to the wine pairing dinner in Isabel's last night and it was superb. It was 75 euro for fabulous wines and an amazing and memorable five course dinner. Isabel's have great food and I really enjoy going there for lunch or dinner. There is a great choice of wines and Ian really knows what to recommend.. They do a... More

Great food, hidden away from the street in a romantic basement. Really worth a visit for the food. Very good wine list, but bring your wallet!

The interior of European restaurant Isabel's is inviting and domestic. Background music - pure jazz - and colors of inside are setting just perfect mood. Snack served shortly before main meal is Italian styled. Two slices of bread with olive oil and vinegar. Dark bread is sweetened and that went perfect with main meal. Pasta with sea shells, prawns and... More

Visited for the evening and had the whole side of the restaurant to ourselves (it is not that big a place) got to love the decor (europallets and rough brick wall). Even more important good acoustics so that you could hear the discusions two people down without shouting. The food is well prepared, and interresting (try the three day cooked... More

My husband and I dined here in mid-June. We noticed the menu posted streetside and went in to ask a question about "sea vegetables" just out of curiosity. The owner's greeting was friendly and unhurried as he gave us a tour and talked about the menu. He also gave due credit to their amazing chef, who, on his days off,... More

We enjoyed dinner here, with excellent options on the menu and well paired wines. Was rather quiet though, perhaps just a slow night or due to it being a little away from the town centre, which was a shame. But otherwise very good.

This was a celebration meal for my brother. When I was making the booking I told them I was vegan and as they did not know what this was, they asked for clarification. It was no problem, I would rather tell them advance! This was apologised for in person. When I arrived at the restaurant, I was seated and had... More

This restaurant is a hidden gem, it is a lovely space with food that is really delicious. Lots of care and detail goes into every plate and it is clear that the chef takes pride in every detail of his dish with beautiful presentation and hand picked herbs. A real pleasure to dine her and would highly recommend a visit.

Went there for my birthday. Must say my expectations were very high after the excellent dishes at the taste of dublin last year (2012) and the amazing reviews it got everywhere. And overall, the experience was unfortunately disappointing. On the positive side, the service was friendly and good and the menu was interesting. The octopus/squids in my starter were brilliantly...
