as mentioned in my other feedback, it’s my first time in dublin so i googled what the top restos are. chanced upon anthony bourdain’s the layover episode when he visited dublin. BIG MISTAKE! i tried two of the restos he recommended and both turned out to be disappointments. lesson learned - next time check out what the locals actually recommend.... More

Very cool and trendy restaurant. What I was most impressed with was the delicious selection of extras you could choose to accompany your steak, 2 highlights included: •Burnt baked beans •Parmesan onion rings Very unusual & would definitely recommend a visit!!

A friend and I went here on Monday for a quick lunch and we had a great experience. The menu is very straight forward and yet there was a good choice. We choose to have steak and fries (9,99) and a salad with fries. The steak was a nice big piece cooked medium-rare as requested, the chips were lovely too.... More

Had the steak and chips, great value. However chips were cold and steak tasted like it only cost €10. Won't be back.

On Sunday, after rugby international the day before and plenty of beer, I was part of a big group of guys looking for a steak restaurant. We were in Grafton Street area and came across the Bear and enjoyed their delicious 8oz rump steak and the very good house red wine. Good service and excellent value.

Go for the million dollar fries alone, they are beyond delicious. Love the variety of sauces available. The meat is delicious, not the most amazing steah but due to the way they treat the cuts of meat they taste really good. They do great lunch deals too and the brunch menu looks good. Great spot for a hip bite.

the guy who served us was really doing no effort to please, i payed 15 euros only for a piece of meat, just the piece of meat and was so smalll, seriously, no salt, no sauce, nothing for 15 euros besides that poor steak, 5 euros for homemade lemonade who tasted like garlic. And more fry potatoes, i had to... More

Absolutely delicious food, quirky cocktails and very generous portion sizes. All very good value too for this type of food. The restaurant had a nice ambience and staff were very attentive without being too in-your-face. Would definitely go again.

I have visited Bear for lunch many times. The Steak with garlic butter and hand cut chips are delicious and always my first choice! There are very few restaurants that cook a steak the way the customer would like it! 'Midium/Rare'! perfect. Their red onion jam is out of this world and perfect with steak. The staff are very friendly... More
