Generous portions for a business dinner

A colleague and I visited Bear for dinner on Tuesday 28th July 2015. The restaurant was busy when we arrived, but we were seated within 10 minutes. The service was friendly enough, just an edge of brusqueness as there seemed to be fewer servers than needed to service all the tables and they... read more

Saturday the 18th of July a party of 5 arrived to Bear we were met by a hostess who led us to the table all was fine,we then were handed over to a staff member who was extremely rude and condescending! The staff member decided to poke fun at the way we were speaking, maybe thinking we were tourists and would not... Heard that the food was good, not about the condescending and patronising hipster staff. Basically food was ok to good, slow to arrive, but as it was a Friday evening and there were only three servers that could have been challenging for many. However the attitude of the staff was really annoying, when asked how I would like my steak,... More

. The plates were cold so we shared cold meat. The fries were a good portion but seemed to be refried. The salad dressing did not stand out; the croutons on top were way too salty. And no soft drinks were available, like Coke light. So no next time for us.

We found this place on a whim one night while trying to decide where to go for dinner. We decided to come to Bear after reading some reviews online. It's a very unique atmosphere and has an industrial vibe to it. The cuts of meat they offer are not ones you'll find in your grocery store, but it was delicious.... More

Food was okay, nothing special about the cuts in my opinion. The scallop potatoes were nice. Sorry not to have tried the millionaire fries. Staff were excellent. Atmosphere was really good, a bit noisy so not somewhere for a romantic meal (it was a Saturday in July though so...) Over priced IMO.

One of a kind experience here. You wouldn't normally order the cuts of meat they offer here but you have to try it to believe it.

Good steakhouse - not ideal for intimate dates but fun with friends millionaire fries are wonderful and also the main reason I can't wear size M clothing

I ate in Bear with friends visiting from the UK this past week and was very disappointed with the overall product of the restaraunt. The steak was fantastic (I had the rump, the lads had the striploin) however the service was quite frankly pathetic and the side dishes for those who have celiac disease or wishing to follow a gluten...
