Charming and delectable

This was our last night in Dublin, and Europe, so we decided to treat ourselves and splash out. I'm so glad we chose to eat at BEAR! Handsdown the best hostess we had in Europe and I'm going to go so far as to say the best service I've ever had, really putting home efforts in Sydney to shame. I... read more

Bear was somewhere I have been meaning to try for a while so paid a visit at the weekend and was very underwhelmed by the experience. The service was slow enough and the food was shown no love. We ordered a steak for 2 and when it arrived the plate covered in juices, meaning that the steak was not properly... More

Went to Bear with colleagues two weeks ago. I will definitely go again and I would recommend it for anything but romantic dinner. The chicken livers and the cakes were awesome. The steaks even better. I had a huge onglet just for myself. Great atmosphere cheeky waitresses, what more can I ask for!! Oh the bathroom is weird. Veeery pink... More

We ate here on Sunday evening, the restaurant wasn't busy and the service was OK. The food was really good if a little over priced, our steaks were cooked perfectly

yesterday night was 3rd time in Bear. Disappointed compared previous time. Menu has changed and most of all beef was poor. We ate 16oz rump, lamb and chicken. The best was the chicken Some sides were good, my side (salt & vinegar potatoes) too cocked and tough. Besides, terrible music. The good part, is not expensive

Went with 2 friends Friday night - I got the feather cut (steak) and 3 sides to share. Steak was cooked prefect and good size. Highly recommend all 3 sides - million dollar fries, salt and vinegar crispy potatoes, cauliflower and cheese. The red wine & garlic butter sauce was amazing as well. Nice chilled out setting with good music... More

We took the advice of a colleague and had dinner at Bear in Dublin! Well you will not be disappointed with this place if you like a great steak and a great choices of side dishes. The most expensive steal for two was served to us rare and the "million dollar fries" were excellent as our main side dish. We... More

Overall i loved my experience at Bear. I was there with friends who had been before and was warned that the portions were generous, so we went straight for mains. Between 2 couples we ordered 2x 16ounce rump steaks (1 per couple) and then 5 sides. The steak was great and the wait staff seemed very knowledgeable and happy to... More

Visited here with some work colleagues for lunch recently. Had been here about a year previously and had a great experience at that time. Lunch was fairly ok! I'd been warned that the rosary steak would be fatty but it really seemed excessively so. Good value though and great staff. I'd probably come back but be more careful to order... More
