We came here on a relatively quiet Sunday night. The space is very informal and big, but there were enough people to provide an atmosphere. We shared a steak (I highly recommend this!) and while we waited for it shared a starter of crab croquettes which were just enough to whet our appetites. Our steak was cooked to perfection, the... Was there once before when first opened and everything was really tasty, so I decided to go back, and really wish I didn't. the salad was literally tasteless, the "million dollar fries" where coasted in what looked like fried flour and had literally NO taste, and I hate to say it the steak was also way over cooked, chewy and... I went into Bear on a Saturday at around 7pm. There was a nice little vibe with a DJ playing in the corner. The waiter was friendly and efficient. The food was good i had Liver to start and shared a steak (which was average but they seller cheaper cuts so........) ......... we got a couple of bottles of red... More

Went in early may for a meal with 6 friends on the back of some positive reviews from others. I can't understand how people rate bear so highly. The atmosphere is fine, service ok but the menu is limited with no deserts available. I had the flank, for me it was slightly better than a roast beef dinner. The cheese... More

Amazing Food and great atmosphere. Service was perfect and I have to say it again, the food was just beautiful. I had teh Chicken and my friend had fillet steak. We shared 3 sides and the bill came to €44.00. For Nansos money, a fantastic meal in a cool trendy resturant... I will be back.. Well done guys, your deffo... More

I went to Bear with my girlfriend for a quick bite to eat and we both enjoyed it. It's not your regular run of the mill restaurant in the sense that its communal tables, they only serve homemade lemonade in terms of soft drinks and it is a wee bit hipster. That said, I have no complaints about the food... More

We had both the onglet and the bavette to share (between four), the meat was nicely cooked, however neither were very flavourful, for whatever reason they just weren't that beefy. We also had the spicy chicken, its wasn't spicy at all unfortunately, and a little dry. The million dollar fries weren't great either, go for the regular fries. There was... More

At first getting in we realise it was not family oriented with the high stools and all but then the friendliest waiter I have met in ages came brought us to our table and made us feel at ease, the kids loved the fact they were like grown ups on the high stools. We ordered limonade for them , we... More

If you like steaks, then you'll love Bear! Some unusual cuts of meat, so it's different to some other steak houses, the bavette was gorgeous, and all our steaks were perfectly cooked. Lovely starters too, all topped off with a nice choice of wines, made for a great evenings dining. One last thing, the millionaire fries have to be tried... More
