We went there for lunch on a weekday and it was quite nice. Fast service, good steaks and a delicious ginger lemonade.
I was recommended this restaurant by a local pub and I wasn't disappointed. I had a great Rosary steak (not often found in England) and the selection of sides were different. I recommend the Salt & Vinegar potatoes which were great. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff.
Went on a Sunday, caught the brunch menu just as it was finishing. I had a steak sandwich on sourdough with chilli jam. Steak was tough, bread was tough. Not great but grand. My partner had the steak and chips which he was fairly happy with. The chips were nice. The lime and ginger lemonade is very overpriced. I don't... More
Ate here last summer and got the onglet steak to share. Amazing cut of meat with loads of flavour. Their cauliflower cheese is also to die for!
Rudest manageress I have ever encountered. We had a meal of several starters and sides and a bottle of wine as not in the humor for steak that evening. The food is ok per say, nothing special. We were enjoying our bottle of wine, when the manageress asked us and no one else did we want the bill. The restaurant... More

But these were not any old ribs these were... More
My husband and I returned to Bear for the secound time and still lov3d it. The food is fantastic and the staff are really nice. The menu isvquite limited but the lamb steak is fantastic.
Dont know what it is about Dublin, but all venues we went to seemed dark and dinghy - needs more lighting. Lovely food - I had the sweet potato and prawn cakes with side dish of cauliflower cheese. Potato cakes were lovely, but cauliflower cheese was basic and a bit runny, still nice though. Husbands steak (feathered) was lovely.
I chose with place with my dad, as we'd heard the buzz about the place. We got a nice window seat and the vibe was nice, so enjoyed choosing some nice cuts of meat and having a nice Cork beer. The food was excellent, however this place was way too hipster for me. The music was a bit weird, the... More
Absolutely delicious meal, fantastic Maitre D' and good service. It's a really nice atmosphere - new, youthful and quite underground. The steak we had was fantastic - the bavette steak to share between 3 was PERFECTLY cooked. The wine recommended was a great accompaniment and not hugely expensive. Any visitor must get their Milllion Dollar Fries - they are insane... More
