Lovely food

My partner and i ate here on our last night in Dublin as it is a 2 minute walk from our hotel. Food was lovely and specials were great. Only thing i thought was that the staff seemed a little unorganised considering it wasn't a busy evening. Apart from that, they were friendly enough and the food... read more

The exterior and interior of the D'Olier Chambers building is incredible. The contrast of the contemporary monochrome interior with the Victorian stonework outside looks great. In such impressive surroundings I was anticipating an exciting lunch. The options were quite expensive, ranging from €10-15. There was little in the way of vegetarian options, and the menu was quite traditional, focusing on... More

Our first night in Dublin, we decided to stop here for dinner. My husband loved the Five Lamps brew which was suggested by our server. Absolutely loved the chicken liver pate and blackberry jam starter. My husband's burger was outstanding. My chicken pasta was underwhelming but fine enough. The service was fairly slow and we beat the dinner rush so... More

My wife and I had dinner here one evening in late 2014. Nice location just across from Trinity College. Starters were good although my Prawn Cocktail was very 1980'ish.....was somehow expecting a more modern take than just prawns, sauce and lettuce...but it was tasty. My wife had the soup which was a tad bland. Mains were very good, both of... More

Gallaher's provided a first class service for 17 of my friends during the busy Christmas period. The staff were super helpful and the food was great considering the reasonable price. Lamb shank was a winner!

Great location, very central and very good quality afternoon tea. Proper joints of meat used in sandwiches. Scones and cakes excellent quality; freshly made and light and spongey. Very enjoyable with excellent service. Planning another visit here soon.

We dined in the evening at Gallahers and had a very nice experience. I had the rump steak and apple tart for dessert. The steak was cooked perfectly, was trimmed nicely and presented beautifully. The apple tart was only so-so, did not have much flavor and was a very small portion. My wife enjoyed one of their pasta dishes that... More

Visited here on Sunday for pre theatre after reading about it in our hotel information book. Phoned at 5 and got a booking for 4 at 6.30pm for a pre theatre deal. Excellent deal on corkage for byob. Mixed starters and a couple of delicious steaks, cod and Irish stew for main course. Service was efficient and friendly. Only one... More

I visited here for our evening meal as it was a stones throw away from our hotel. They have a very reasonable set menu to choose from at (I think) about 22 euros for 2 courses. I opted for the Irish stew which did not dissapoint and I have a beautiful creme brûlée for dessert. The setting is lovely and... More
