I went with friends for a night out the food was fab. The early bird option is great value. I had stuffed lemon sole....it was gorgeous. The crumble came in a little jar and was so tasty. They also do nice wine by the glass. I'll definitely go back.

I went to Le Plancha on a Tuesday night, at 6:00. We were the first to arrive. I had mushrooms on brioche with a crispy boiled egg (yum!) and a plate of spicy steamed mussels on special, with chips. Really good. Wine was 5.75 a glass, so up at Dublin pub standards but not crazy. My date complained that the... More

We visited Le Plancha recently for a family celebration, and it exceeded the good things I have been hearing about it. The standard was easily as good as many of the city centre's top eateries, but the setting was more cosy and relaxed. This restaurant is really worth a visit, if you appreciate good food, and want to avoid the... More

We accidentally found this restaurant, which has been next to the Wishing Well pub in Blackrock for 3 years! What a find, wow. Superb food. We have been 3-4 time since our discovery and it's also our kids new favourite too. The quality of the fillet steak is outstanding. The Seafood / Chicken Combo Paella is deliciously flavourful of chorizo,... More

Had dinner here last night, the first time we had been in for quite a while. If anything it is even better than before. Service was excellent as ever but the food was stunning. Spanish people should come here for the paella. They would learn a thing or two! The monkfish was pretty good too. To have a local small... More

We have been here a couple of times and we were blown away by the fresh quality ingredients and the great flavours in everything. Fresh prawns , wonderful steaks cooked to perfection with truffle and Parmesan fries which are exceptional and veal saltimbocca to die for. Great warm service is the icing on the cake. I recommend Le plancha if... More

Our food was superb - the highlight for me was the Calamari and chorizo starter. Scrummily. This... More

A lovely restaurant. Consistently good food, always some interesting specials alongside the old favourites. Well chosen wine list. Cosy and atmospheric setting, charming and always helpful staff. What's not to like?

I love this restaurant. It’s small but cosy, the food is really good and the staff are so friendly. The last time I went was a tapas night which was such good food, we kept ordering even though we were full! Highly recommend this place!

Le Plancha on Newtown Park near Blackrock is a neat local Mediterranean – European style Bistro restaurant that provides tasty dishes at reasonable prices, accompanied by good quality European wines in a very convivial atmosphere. See their web page: http://www.leplancha.ie/home/4578490398 The one reservation I have is that I find the tables are a bit close to each other for my... More
