having been given a groupon half price voucher, we turned up for a tapas evening. food was well prepared but valuewise it was poor value. thank goodness the vouchers were half price, otherwise the full price cost was nearly extortionate food at their outlet in the grange at ballyboughill, is far better prepared and better value. location is good, but... With the arrival of other restaurants in the Malahide area, such as Avoca and others dotted around the village and along the coast road, i was hoping that The Gourmet Food Parlour in Malahide would pull up it's socks in relation to customer service, unfortunatly they haven't. Over the past 3 years we visited regularly due to having a small... More

Great location, child friendly, comfortable, stylish, light and airy. Friendly staff. It's all looking good. Varied menu. Healthy options, lots of choice. I'm thinking, great, this is going to be my 'go to' place in Malahide. Then the food came. It was fine. Cooked well but the flavour was lacking. It's hard to say specifically what was wrong but I... Have been to this restaurant recently while taking a walk at the Malahide beach. The plus are the amazing view, ample parking spaces, Children food menu and child friendly outside seating. Disappointment was the poor service.

Have been here twice now, both times in morning with some friends. The coffee was ok, I've had better in McDonald's Cafe to be honest, the food was lovely, big portions, huge scones served with jam and cream :) The view is great, large floor to ceiling glass doors overlooking the coast. The service is pretty poor though, both mornings... More

I have always found Gfp a great place to eat. Whether for breakfast or lunch I've never been disappointed. Very child friendly too.

Walked (on my sight-unseen recommendation) from the center of Malahide with four work colleagues to the GFP through what turned in to a driving rain. If our experience was anything but wonderful, my reputation would have taken quite a hit. Suffice it to say the thanks were pouring down with the rain by the time we left. We travel all... More

Was out in Malahide last Sunday for brunch-the choice was Gourmet Food Parlour or Avoca. We choose GMP given we hadn't been there before and we like to support the underdog. However we were very disappointed. Naturally brunch is a busy time but this place was chaotic and consequentially service was all over the place and on the whole unattentive.... More

Wow. This place has certainly gone downhill. I brought my girlfriend here as I thought it would be good to look at the views and enjoy some good food. Unfortunately I was mistaken! My girlfriend ordered a cappachino and got a tea???? Her warm goats salad was not warm and full of leaves with little else. I had soup (it... More

We were staying locally at the Portmarnock Hotel but chose to eat here with my mother (87) and daughter (25) every day as the venue is sunny and bright, the sea views are fabulous and the food was fantastic. We always ordered something off menu, the staff were very good about providing exactly what we wanted and the price was... More
