Description: YAMAMORI IZAKAYA, located at 12-13 South Great Georges Street, Dublin 2, in what was originally Ireland's very first cafe. This old Bewleys building boasts original oriental style decor with a twist. Enjoy the 1940's Chinese and Japanese beer ads and movie posters with a great Asian beer or rice wine, and try our dublin famous homemade Izakaya burger. After your meal we have a lounge downstairs where you can catch a nice Izakaya Lycee cocktail, and enjoy some modern sounds from Dublin's up and coming DJ's. Downstairs is a Japanese style drinking house, serving small Japanese style pub food dishes with great Japanese whiskeys, beers and sake. Come for food or drinks, chill out and listen to some urban lounge deep and soul tunes. The Izakaya has a retro easy going atmosphere and is open 7 days a week from 17:30 and is available for private bookings.

Visited Izakaya on a recent Trip to Dublin. The food is excellent and they serve a great beer called Kirin. A little too expensive for what it is but the staff are great and always accommodating and friendly. Also the downstairs Japanese themed bar is excellent.

Dined here last night with 8 friends. Amazing restaurant! Couldn't fault it from the friendly service, to variety of cocktails and amazing food! Brilliant atmosphere / great music! Best gyoza I've ever had, deep fried pulled pork, tempura prawns, dessert was delicious too! Perfect birthday night out !

Brilliant burger and sweet potato chips, great beer, atmosphere and excellent hosting and craic with Derek who takes justified pride in his outlet. First call next time in Dublin

Went here last night for a meal with my boyfriend and really couldn't fault anything. The food was amazing: could not recommend the tempura prawns or dumplings more highly. The duck pancakes were a great treat! Service was excellent, extremely efficient and entertaining staff. Loved the background music and funky decor. Wine and tea were also top class. Great evening,... More

Was in town early evening looking for a spot with some friends for a few drinks and some food and good catch up. Had very comfortable booth at the back and we weren't rushed. Good selection of drinks and staff friendly and efficient. We had a wide variety of sushi, dumplings, duck pancakes, seafood tempura, and some vegetarian fritters. All... More

When Izakaya first opened , I was an absolute fan, going several times a month. Over the years, I found that the prices kept going up, and the portions getting smaller. I can't in all honesty fault the quality of the food, as it is good. I just find that the place is not value for money anymore. The staff... More

Group of us went here and were very well accommodated and well fed with the great value Jappa's menu. The sashimi was so fresh and mouth watering - also really generous sushi rolls (massive in fact!) and a great lychee cocktail to top it all off. Also does a decent enough gluten free beer. Great atmosphere in the place always.... More
