Description: YAMAMORI IZAKAYA, located at 12-13 South Great Georges Street, Dublin 2, in what was originally Ireland's very first cafe. This old Bewleys building boasts original oriental style decor with a twist. Enjoy the 1940's Chinese and Japanese beer ads and movie posters with a great Asian beer or rice wine, and try our dublin famous homemade Izakaya burger. After your meal we have a lounge downstairs where you can catch a nice Izakaya Lycee cocktail, and enjoy some modern sounds from Dublin's up and coming DJ's. Downstairs is a Japanese style drinking house, serving small Japanese style pub food dishes with great Japanese whiskeys, beers and sake. Come for food or drinks, chill out and listen to some urban lounge deep and soul tunes. The Izakaya has a retro easy going atmosphere and is open 7 days a week from 17:30 and is available for private bookings.

Eat here on Friday night with a friend. Food was very tasty, freshly cooked and reasonably priced. Our server was very helpful and knowledgable about the menu. I will definitely be back!

I visited at 2 pm with my vegetarian daughter, who hadn't liked the vegetarian offerings elsewhere in the city. She immediately liked the menu. We were greeted by a surly aggressive young man who seated us without care. We had a few menus thrown at us - no mention of the specials. We waited a good while to have our... More

As a Kurosawa fan, I'm always going to fall in love with a bar/restaurant which shows Seven Samurai all the time on its big screens. But this little bar, seemingly a bit of an afterthought in the Yamamori empire around the city is a really great little place if you are in the mood for drinks and snacks rather than... More

Certrally located just across the street from the original Yamamori (the benchmark noodle house in Dublin) I popped in here after a disappointing earlier meal and had a selection of sushi and gyoza; all of which were top quality, well presented and great value for money.

Highly recomend the Pork Gyoza, Yasai Gyoza, Duck Pancakes, Spicey Age-Tofu (amazing!!), and Tori No Teriyaki (taste sensation). Cocktails if you like spicey try the Spicey... More

Love this place, I regularly go for food or drink - usually downstairs as I prefer the atmosphere and crowd. My favourites are the burger and rice side dish. The cocktails are amazing too.

I very regularly pass by this place and over the past few months I've been going in there probably at least twice per month. I have gone in solo several times for a quick feed after work, as well as taking friends there and going for date nights. The food is consistently lovely. I would highly recommend any of; salmon... I often go here with group of friends. The food is always delicious and there is a wide range of options. The sweet potato wedges are totally amazing. I highly recommend them! Staff are friendly and efficient. There is literally nothing else to say! Will definitely be back again soon.

I've eaten here twice over two trips to Dublin. This is not your typical Japanese restaurant. They have taken local ingredients like venison and beef and turned them into lovely dishes. Best yet, you can order many of the dishes in tapas style and share them with a table full of people, The vegie curry, beef sushi and venison dishes... More
