Five adults and two children went for a late Sunday lunch. Kids did burger and chips, all good. Two of us had the beef pie, potatoes and veg. It looked homemade with a beautiful pastry and dark rich gravy. They said it was delicious. Two had the club sandwich with fries and it was great. Portions are large. I had... More

This was our first meal in Ireland, recommended by Ferry House. We ate here for their carvery lunch, which offered a lovely option of roast meats or fish, and all of the sides of potatoes and veggies. We returned the next night for their pub dinner which was filling, tasty, and affordable.

When a restaurant (more gastro pub in this case) has a Good Food Guide and Lucinda O'Sullivan plaque outside the front door, you expect more. You expect a fairly high quality meal. We didn't get one. First, relatively minor (or perhaps not ??) quibble - waited half an hour for our starter in a near- empty room because there was... More

As my title says we almost walked out without even sampling the food. My Wife and I selected this restaurant based on the excellent reviews and because its right beside us. When we arrived we where made very welcome and shown to our table immediately. As we selected Vaughans because of the reviews of their steaks on the stone you... More

I love eating here but I just popped in with my husband to have a starter and desert. I adore salads and the goats cheese beetroot was out of this world. It was light and so tasty. The combination of flavours along with the walnuts was wonderful. I ordered ice cream for desert and it was a wonderful end to... More

Came here for lunch recently and wow what a let down!!! Ordered a beef pie and the stewing beef was as tough as old boots with the pastry as dry as sand. The pulled pork sandwich was batch bread with a cut up pork chop and a few pickles on it, no sauce. The oddest lunch experience ever. Maybe the... More

We celebrated a family birthday in Vaughans recently and I would highly recommend it. Michael (Head Chef) and Zuzana (Front of house) looked after every detail with an expert eye. We had several vegetarian diners with us and they were all very happy with their meals as was all of our guests. The waiting staff were very pleasant and efficient.... More
