A Foodies' Delight

Innovative cooking which changes everyday. They also have excellent soups, salads and desserts, so leave room. Wine, beer too. I always take home brown bread from their food hall.

Had a long weekend in Dublin, and did the Walking Tour on Monday. Our tour guide, Helena, recommended a visit here if we had a chance. On Tues before our flight home we managed to call in for lunch, and we're so pleased we did. Yes, it is quite a noisy venue but it's lively, and the food is delightful,... More

Here for flying visit and we treated ourselves to lunch here. Lovely environment with nice informal but attentive staff. Water brough straight away, and flavoured with mint and cucumber, which was refreshing. My colleague went for Crab Salad, whilst I chose the Fish Platter. Both were presented v well - mine on large plank, with some form of tarragon based... More

...expensive & totally worth it. My mother in law suggested my husband take me here and I could t wait to go. We went directly to the cafe & had some of the best coffee I have ever had. The environment is charming & I greatly enjoyed wandering through the shop on my way out. This is part of Dublin... More

I had a really delicious breakfast in Avoca this morning as part of a group of sixteen for a friends hen. However, We had reserved a table for 11.30 and arrived at 11.35 to be told that our table had been given away as we were late. The man who spoke to us ( or rather shouted at us) said... More

The prices may be high but it is quality food and the service is great. It's a nice place to chill from a day of shopping , you can also pick up a few unique antiques in the store downstairs!

the food was so amazing. If you are in Dublin right now, go straight there. Everything was just perfect about this place.

I came here on the 20th of December with my friend. We had both come off an early flight and were famished so we came here to start off our Xmas. We were greeted by a very friendly waitress which was lovely considering it was very early. I had a huge suitcase with me also and she didn't hesitate to... More

Very loud and busy but the staff were cheery and efficient. This is pretty fancy for my partner's taste but we opted for tea and a dessert which was gorgeous. Nice touch the mint and cucumber water which arrived at the table immediately we sat down, the service included price and delicious unhurried fare. Will return.

We had breakfast in the very quiet food hall in the basement (did not realise there was a cafe'): amazing scones - I had a pear hazelnut one - in a pretty setting. Cappuccino was not great but I will remember the scone for a very long time
