We had to return to the shop and the café after last years visit. First we had the poached eggs with baked tomatoes (juicy!), avocado and rocket salad on a walnut brown bread ( so, so delicious) and the pancakes. A super green juice made the breakfast just perfect. The other day we went for the full Irish ( with... More

Avoca is amazing, is like being in Sex and the City having breakfast with all my girls. The decoration is so so nice. The staff is amazing. The food very good. I'll return for sure.

Came here with a couple of friends for lunch during mid week. We were lucky to get the last table that was left, this is a busy place at all times. Our drink and food orders were taken promptly, a good thing when you`ve built up an appetite sitting on the train for more than two hours. We all ordered... More

Returned here from far, far away to eat the very same thing as last time: the starter version of the mezze platter of spicy minced Wicklow lamb, hummus, pine nuts, baba ghanouj, beetroot tzatziki & warm pitta, for 9 Euro 50. It is still at thing of glory, and filled me up like a main meal. Very tasty. One of... More

Lovely modern gastro restaurant with bright, cheery feel. Just a little aware of itself, but nothing too pretentious. Excellent choice on the menu, including for kids if not too fussy. Many dishes available in smaller and larger portion sizes. Service impeccable - we arrived at a busy time but all happened smoothly and with evident pleasure in serving good food... More

I visited here recently and had a great Wicklow lamb starter with dips and pitta bread, see photo's, with my friends. The restaurant was clean and airy and the staff were friendly and helpful, one even took a photograph of my friends and myself. We had a cup of tea and shared a chocolate dessert which was well presented on... More

Really enjoyed the table service - not usual for Avoca in our experience. The coffee was really good.

Second visit now, and the pancakes were just as lovely as I remembered. Cosy place and nice staff. The only negative was that the bacon must have been cooked the day before, so it was cold, stiff and a bit too chewy.

Came the the Avoca Cafe for a late lunch during a visit to Dublin. Food was absolutely delicious and wait staff were friendly. It is located round the corner from the Tourist Information office and is on the top floor of the Avoca shop. Definitely recommended if good food is your thing.
