I love this place!!! The food was awe inspiring... so much fresh seafood... this is irish home cooking at its best... the host was so funny...I ordered a bottle of wine, expecting to be asked to taste it and see if it was ok... instead it was thrown at me as the owner ran past the table... I ordered a... More

We got a recommendation for Hemmingways and as a family we were excited to try it. From the moment we walked in the service was really friendly and welcoming. We got some top tips and recommendations from Brian and they did not disappoint. From start to finish the fish was extremely fresh, light and done to perfection. This is without... More

We wanted somewhere special for an evening out - good food, good atmosphere and extra special service and friendliness. A friend recommended Hemmingway's, where we hadn't been before and it certainly did not disappoint. This is a small seafood restaurant and wine bar, seating a maximum of about thirty diners. On arrival we were met by the owner/manager Brian Creedon... More

This was our first trip to Dublin and we found this restaurant through Tripadvisor. The restaurant is small, friendly and unpretentious. It is close to the seafront in Clontarf. We had the scollops and the Spanish prawns to start. The scollops were beautiful but the Prawns were just awesome. We then had the halibut and the cod for the main... More

In a quaint cozy restaurant outside of Dublin, the restaurant host and owner, Brian Creedon could not do enough to make our dining experience a memorable occassion on our last night in Ireland. The menu and fish specials of the day provided a nice variety of choices to make eveyone happy. Trying Ling for the first time, I am happy... More

Myself and my wife have eaten at Hemingways a few times, and we have never been disappointed. Firstly, when you walk in, you are greeted by a very friendly host, who makes you feel welcome. The restaurant is small, but very cosy, and each time we have had a choice of excellent fish courses. There is also Steak and chicken... More

This is a hidden little restaurant on Vernon Ave in Clontarf, if you didn't know where you were going you could walk by and what a shame that would be. The focus is on fish (and our party of 4 all went this way) but there are other dishes available and judging by what we saw kept within the standard... More

From the outset and the banter on the phone I knew it was going to be an interesting night. Brian the owner greeted us like long lost friends; he was very informative explaining everything on the menu (mainly fish) and was very friendly. The restaurant had a cozy atmosphere, the food was delicious all fresh and tasty! We shared the... More
