My father, who is from Dublin, asked me to find a good fish restaurant for our last evening in the city. I picked Hemmingways from the reviews on this site and was not disappointed. Great food and fantastic service even from giving us directions when we were lost. Very small and relaxed with a fantastic specials board. Would definitely go... More

I have just come back from this restaurant and have to say it is one of the nicest places I have been in Dublin and Ireland in a long time. I am back from Bournemouth for a visit and love Mark Hix in Lyme Regis but this is great. The choice of fish and the way it is cooked is... More

This little restaurant was a surprise. The owner was very friendly and helpful, the product (fish and seafood) were of a superb quality and the cooks knew the job. The result: The best meal we took in Dublin. The salads were also incredible. It worth every euro we paid. Don’t miss this place.

I love this place!!! The food was awe inspiring... so much fresh seafood... this is irish home cooking at its best... the host was so funny...I ordered a bottle of wine, expecting to be asked to taste it and see if it was ok... instead it was thrown at me as the owner ran past the table... I ordered a... More

We got a recommendation for Hemmingways and as a family we were excited to try it. From the moment we walked in the service was really friendly and welcoming. We got some top tips and recommendations from Brian and they did not disappoint. From start to finish the fish was extremely fresh, light and done to perfection. This is without... More

We wanted somewhere special for an evening out - good food, good atmosphere and extra special service and friendliness. A friend recommended Hemmingway's, where we hadn't been before and it certainly did not disappoint. This is a small seafood restaurant and wine bar, seating a maximum of about thirty diners. On arrival we were met by the owner/manager Brian Creedon... More

This was our first trip to Dublin and we found this restaurant through Tripadvisor. The restaurant is small, friendly and unpretentious. It is close to the seafront in Clontarf. We had the scollops and the Spanish prawns to start. The scollops were beautiful but the Prawns were just awesome. We then had the halibut and the cod for the main... More

In a quaint cozy restaurant outside of Dublin, the restaurant host and owner, Brian Creedon could not do enough to make our dining experience a memorable occassion on our last night in Ireland. The menu and fish specials of the day provided a nice variety of choices to make eveyone happy. Trying Ling for the first time, I am happy... More
