I went hear last week with 3 friends last week on a Thursday night. It was fairly quiet, but it still had a nice atmosphere. They have an early bird menu that is very good value. Hemmingways specialises in fish, but as a non-fish eater I still had plenty of choice. Food was very tasty and portions... read more

This was my most recent trip to Hemmingways with family and as usual was not disappointed! Try to visit this restaurant at least once a month as the food here is always excellent! Had the bruschetta to start and the Spanish hake for my main course. Try the three amigos starter too! Yum!! They don't have a dessert menu but... More

I brought a party of 14 for dinner to this small family owned restaurant and we were treated to a wonderfully fresh and flavorful seafood meal by the owner and his team of talented chefs. The restaurant is small for very attractive with seating for possibly 30 at a time. We ordered everything from chicken wings and seafood pasta dishes... More

My Company bring in golf visitors to Ireland throughout the year, and we stumbled onto this restaurant through word of mouth and reviews on tripadvisor. WOW what a fun place. The atmosphere, the lighting, the overall laid back mood of the place made you feel right at ease the moment you walked through the door. Fish, again major WOW, everything... More

This is a hidden gem. There is a lovely laid back vibe and I've enjoyed myself every time I've gone here. The seafood and fish is so fresh and uncomplicated. Tonight I had prawns and crab claws in a light cream sauce... delicious and delicate

Booked this based upon the number of positive reviews. We weren't disappointed - fresh scallops, fish cakes, Dublin Bay prawns, monkfish, hake and cod! Brian was the perfect host.

Was originally a fish shop. it was excellent as a fish shop. But wonder about the surroundings now. The food was good but I still had the fish shop, many years, later, in my head

We ate at Hemmingways last night. Agree completely with the previous reviews. Our host was relaxed and very friendly and set a great tone for the evening. Service was unhurried and allowed us to enjoy the buzz and the great food. We picked fish but I feel certain non fish eaters would be equally well catered for. Cod, halibut, fish... More
