A very pleasant lunch

We went for lunch in The Step Inn last week & it was most enjoyable. Two of us had soup & a sandwich (one BBQ pulled pork, the other BLT), one had BBQ ribs & the child among us had pasta. The BBQ rib eater enjoyed them so much he could easily have licked the plate, if I had let... read more

I'm sorry to say that we will not be returning for a meal in the Step Inn any time soon. The food is over priced and lacks flavour, which is a real pity as we used to like going to the Step Inn for the odd treat dinner. On the night we visited, my partner had the chicken fajitas which... More

I went here for a friendly get together and had the curry with rice and chips the lady who looks after the food section was very friendly and helpful. Nice atmosphere and was a nice place to go for the evening for a couple of catch up drinks and that.

We went to the Step Inn recently for an early Sunday afternoon lunch. We had many happy memories of Sunday lunches when the children were small, so we decided, on spec, to revisit. The ambiance of the place has not changed at all, which was a negative for us, as we felt it was in need of a major revamp,... More

I went there for dinner on a Thursday night. The starters - soup and potato skins were very tasty. The mains - chicken curry and house burger were delicious and the portions were big and hearty. For dessert we had chocolate fudge cake and banoffi pie. The cake was ok. The pie was very underwhelming and to tasted gross. The... More

After ordering our food and drinks, our starters arrived almost instantly. They were delicious. Highly recommend the potato skins. My other half had the nachos, he also recommends. Sadly, we were sat with our empty plates and glasses for 40 minutes. For a quiet Wednesday lunch time this was disappointing. The main courses of fish and chips and BBQ pork... More

We visited The Step In just after Christmas and enjoyed a nice lunch . The beef I had was delicious and overall the food and service was good .However the atmosphere in the restaurant was lacking and the heating could have been turned up a notch.

I was here with my boyfriend for brunch. We got our orders taken from a girl who appeared to want to be anywhere else other than in work. Our food came out in good timing and was v. nice. However, the waiting staff let the side down. It was difficult getting their attention away from their group conversation. However, saying... More
