new menu is interesting - great range of starters. much fancier than your average pub. Haven't tried one yet but the steak on the stone looks awesome - large towering american style fillet steaks, not your usual fillet you will see in a pub. Have eaten in this restaurant on several occasions at lunch time and in the evening as the food is of a higher standard than your normal public house. The menu is varied and caters for most taste buds. Staff very helpful and friendly. Nice atmosphere and good value. Recommend the Thai curry as its delicious.

The menu looked great with so much to choose from. I had the Thai Red Curry with fragrant rice. Presentation was good but the they used the crap of the chicken. I mean the brown meat with grizzle, skin still intact and small bones throughout the chicken pieces. It was the worst curry I have ever had. I was visiting... More

Had dinner here last Sunday. The place was packed and smelled very unpleasant. There was no air circulating and the fire door opened onto smokers which was awful. The general eating area was dirty with tables sticky and floor stained. The food was disappointing & barely warm, the duck was chewy and large lumps of turnip overpowered the veg selection.... More

Hi all, went for lunch here last week and I have to say very disappointed in what I got. Got a toasted sambo and the bottom slice was all wet and soggie, the chips were great. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food we got was very simple and we were 45mins waiting on for it. This place... More

The Step Inn at the foot of the Dublin mountains is a lovely find. The staff are exceptional, extremely friendly, polite and helpful. The starters are really tasty and the Steak on the stone is a must.

I call in here now and again for lunch or evening meal - occasionally in the evening for a pint. Sometimes the food service is a bit slow but overall it's an excellent haunt in a nice area and in a nice setting. good traditional good value food.

The Step In is a perfect choice for just going out whether during breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Both times I have been here I would rate it 5 stars. They have great customer service and are always ready to take your order or recommend the best food/drinks whether the price is the lowest or the highest. They also include flat... More

We enjoyed a late lunch here where the service was good given that the place was very full, the food quality was high and the presentation was excellent with many nice touches. With plenty of car parking and reasonable prices this pub/restaurant has nailed down a winning formula, no problem with recommending here for meals.

The food is good and plentiful; families are welcome; prices are reasonable; and it's clearly frequented by the locals.
