Eggcellent food

Went to Whitefriar Grill for breakfast after a night out in Dublin. It was packed but we got a table. The staff were really friendly, and the food was great! It came out really quickly, was presented well and reasonably priced. Definitely recommend.

Booking is essential as it was packed. Nice decor and friendly staff always checking if we were ok. The spicy wing starter was a decent portion for 2. Lovely coating (I need that recipe!). We both ordered the Steak and Rib combo for main and the steak was amazing! Much better than we thought it would be. Cooked exactly how... More

Our hotel receptionist recommended this restaurant on Aungier Street and the first night we tried the wait would have been over 2 hours! The next night we had better luck and can understand its popularity with both tourists and locals. The food is delicious and the service is prompt and efficient.

Last weekend on a Irish Times rewarding voucher we were in The Whitefriar, for a lovely dinner. Our waiter ( Brian or Ben not sure) was very good excellent service he explained how the voucher worked so there were no misunderstandings, the starters ( chicken wings and curried crab salad ) were ok, but the mains were absolutely beautiful, my partner... Went for dinner with Friends. Arrived at 7pm and table ready for us. The place was quite packed and during the course of our meal many people came and went. I haven't been here for brunch but I hear it is excellent. We were greeted by a very friendly front of house manager who took our coats and seated us.... More

On a wet Friday evening the greeting from the team at Whitefriar lifts the spirits (Prosecco laced with Italian hazelnut lacquer won over our hearts). There was a full house but the easy rapport among the efficient staff ensured that everything runs smoothly. We enjoyed starters of a chilli flavoured Squid and a delicious Boudin Noir tart. We opted for... More

After reading the reviews for Whitefriar Grill on TA, I had high expectations. The food was quite good but portions were very small. I was still hungry when we got back to the hotel. I had the sea bass and my son had the duck. Both were very tasty. The atmosphere is upscale. However the restaurant is quite small. You... More

Book in advance! This place is always jammed and there's a good reason why. It serves the best brunch you'll ever eat (their pre-theatre and ribs n rump specials are incredible too!). Prices are very reasonable and staff are wonderfully friendly. They serve the best chocolate brownie I've ever tasted. Once you try whitefriar you will return again and again.... More

Everyone will find something to enjoy here. Our party ordered fish(hake), chicken, duck, and steak. All were excellently prepared and presented with friendly, attentive service. Thoroughly enjoyable meal!
