Great place for brunch in town

Great atmosphere - really vibrant and with the DJ spinning tunes which makes you feel you are still on a Saturday night. Good portions and great service. Well worth visting and book in advance so not disappointed.

I picked this place because it was next to the Avalon House hostel, on way to Gaiety Theater and RIVERDANCE. It was my son and I's first real meal in Ireland - and the best we had while in that country. As a brunch in the middle of the afternoon, he especially enjoyed the full Irish Breakfast. We didn't have... More

I was really looking forward to eating here, We went with friends. It is more like a bistro/bar style atmosphere. It has a good buzz but tables are close and it is a tight space. Also very warm the night we were there. It suited us as were friends having a lot of fun and chat. However not for a... More

Aungier Street is not an area I would have associated with good eating but Whitefriar Grill has certainly changed that misconception. Friendly, happy and helpful staff and a great (if noisy!) atmosphere. The Ala Carte menu was somewhat limited and there seemed to be more starter options than mains. However, we were not disappointed with the duck or rib eye... More

We came to Whitefiars on the recommendation of others and we were not disappointed. Service was good, and the meal fantastic. Great value, and would love to go back for a their brunch!

I visited with two friends for Saturday brunch. I had sourdough bread with tomato fondue, asparagus and avocado which also came with potato wedges. The food was so tasty I had to finish it all even though it was a large portion and I was full. Service was great, lovely well laid out restaurant and within easy reach of the... More

The warm greeting when we walked in the door was enhanced by the fantatic service through out our meal by the friendly and helpful staff. Our starters were really good and our main courses were excellent. Steak cooked to perfection and chicken crispy yet moist. Side of creamed spinach was devoured. Excellent portion sizes and really excellent quality. Deserts were... More

Returned to one of my favourites this weekend and it didn't disappoint. Service was great as always. We had chicken wings and a lamb flatbread to start. I haven't seen the flatbread on the menu before and it was amazing. I had the ribs and rump and my husband had the striploin with garlicky gambas. Both were exceptionally good. For... More

On a current mission to find the best brunch spot in Dublin on a Saturday afternoon. Whitefriar Grill is certainly a contender. The staff are great the cocktails are divine, there was no long wait for a table oh and of course the food is brilliant! One thing I would change (please note this is a very minor change) is... I've been hearing great reports about the Whitefriar Grill - happy to endorse everything I heard. When booking for 7pm I was told they needed the table back for 9pm which wasn't a problem for us. Service was VERY attentive, food (chicken wings and steak for me) were delicious and atmosphere was very good. Just to show some balance I... More
