This was our first visit to the Whitefriar Grill - an early bird meal before going to a show at the Olympia Theatre. We had selected this restaurant because of it's excellent reviews and we were certainly not disappointed. Very friendly and professional staff, and the food was superb! We has chosen the 3 course menu with a carafe of... More

We live in London and were in Ireland attending a wedding and then, in Dublin, meeting with friends who are locals. Thank goodness that when catching up with our friends we were able to rely on their local knowledge because we never would have come to this restaurant otherwise. It seemed to have a "family run operation" feel to it... More

My wife and I are from Los Angeles and thus have the privilege of dining in some fantastic restaurants. Our trip to Dublin, while great for sightseeing and vacation, was a bit of a disappointment culinary......That is until we reached Whitefriar Grill. Upon entering the restaurant, we were immediately met by friendly staff and a comfortable atmosphere. It's lively, but... More

This was my second visit to the Whitefriar Grill and I chose it as I had two friends visiting who like good food. From start to finish the staff were fantastic and this was even though we had quite a few requests (as my friends were both feeling under the weather) which might have caused a flicker of annoyance in... Enjoyed a fantastic meal with friends here a few weeks ago. The staff were attentive and welcoming as soon as we entered the restaurant. Brilliant offers and a great atmosphere is to be found here. Will definitely be returning.

This is a great restaurant that has a fantastic vibe and very friendly staff. The meals are well-priced and quite large. Try the Baileys Coffee to finish off your meal - delicious

Went there for brunch. Fry was nice. No toast comes with same and drinks are extra. So a fry with a coffee and a side of fries comes to nearly 20 quid. Think it's a bit steep. The place is a bit poky and u can be seated within 2 Feet or less to other patrons The dj was playing... More

All the dishes we ordered were fantastic! The lamb and big belly were particularly delicious whilst the ox bone marrow was definitely an experience! They also accommodated my lactose-intolerance needs ensuring aspects of dishes I couldn't eat we're substituted for other yummy options! Would definitely recommend it!

My mate who lives in Dublin mentioned everyone raves about this place...it's worth the hype. In addition to super delicious and inventive food, the early bird special was going all night! Fantastic service and friendly atmosphere while I dined solo - perfect treat.

We had a great value early bird on a Saturday evening. We were greeted by really cheery staff. Relaxed happy restaurant. Food terrific - gorgeous gambas with caesar salad, juicy steak, and delicious hake - followed by lovely baileys and cherry brulee and brownnie with chocolate sauce, ice cream and cream. We dine in a lot of restaurants around Dublin... More
