Busy, buzzy, and super food.

We had no reservation, and on a Tuesday night had to wait 40 minutes for a table (we went to a pub nearby for a drink). But boy was the food worth the wait. As if was now 9:15 we wear hungry very hungry. 3 different starters everyone happy with them. For mains we had ribs and ribeye steak... read more

I researched this restaurant on trip advisor. My wife is a wheelchair user and so I needed to make sure Whitefriar Grill was disabled friendly. I contacted the restaurant and was very quickly delivered a positive response. All of this was done by email and phone from England to Ireland. We arrived on the booked date to be warmly greeted... We eat here fairly regularly, and always look forward to it. The food and atmosphere are great and the service is courteous friendly and unintrusive. The welcome is always warm as well. I Had the Starter of Prawn and the NY Strip for main. My Wife had the very generous Scallop dish to start and the special for main. All... More

I was not able to make reservations because they were fully booked, but I risked and went there any way. We were two people and there was a table for us right there! Great sirprise! I choose my classic eggs Benedict and the dish was great. I also asked a cappuccino. Great food affordable price.

Love the Whitefiar.. Kind of refreshing to eat great quality, unpretentious food in an honest-to-goodness envirornment.. The recent trend to buck in exposed light bulbs, beards and dated vehicular carcasses is getting a little tiresome...this restaurant does it right with no need for gimmickry; great food, lovely atmosphere and friendly staff.

The Whitefriar Grill had received many accolades prior to our visit - so expectations were high. Unusually, both the food and the service lived up to the hype. The Lobster Hash and Crab Cake Benedict are particularly outstanding. Very friendly staff culture exudes from the moment you walk in. Definitely one of the best brunches in Dublin.

It was a hazy Autumnal day in the southside of Dublin's fair city, I languished in a hazy dream amongst a rainy day. My belly began to growl as I gazed upon the eatery before me, Whitefriar Grill, interesting I thought to myself. A warm greeting guided us to our table which sat perched by the window, horseless carriages passed... More

We went to this restaurant as a group - for a celebration dinner. Service was good - attentive, informed and helpful. Starters: We all ordered most of the starter off the list and the general verdict that they were only ok. Prawns were the most popular order and no one raved about the dish although visually, it looked great. Arancini... More
