Quiet drink in the ifsc

It's a good place to go during the day for food or a drink - whether alcoholic or tea/coffee. At night it's a very quiet pub by and large, so if you're looking for atmosphere i'd avoid it but for a quiet drink it's a good spot.

We called in on the way back from the airport, had to wait few hours for the bus and were looking for the homelike food. Ordered one portion of chicken wings between two of us for the starter. Went for the large one because you never know how many wings you'll get in the portion if you eat somewhere for... More

Plentiful portions served perfectly. Sides are tasty and imaginative. Try garlic potatoes and cheese or mixed beans served in a Valenciano dish with chorizo sausages. Staff are really efficient and friendly. The house Merlot is very palatable. Glass surroundings look out on the Docks and there is an outdoor patio for that evening tipple, would be very romantic for special... More

Haven't eaten here in a while and can recall being unimpressed before. Glad I tried it again as the food was pretty good. It's nothing amazing but it's a step up from pub food at a decent enough price. The tomato salad starter with olives and blue cheese is really rather good. Main course of fish and chips was nice... Visited and ate in the bar friday 5th march night couldnt get into restaurant as so busy. We sat upstairs and a very busy but attentive young man served us. We had the blue cheese salad which was tasty, fish and chips again v good and apple tart to finish it was good value for money. Would return if back... More

Had a really pleasant meal here recently. I had heard very good reports about this restaurant / bar and when the opportunity arose to visit I certainly wasn't disappointed. It's a busy, large but extremely well run establishment. We arrived a bit before our appointed time but the manager found us a table. The staff were very efficient and food... More

Had a work lunch here last week, we were quickly seated, orders taken, food was out and very tasty. Often in the lunch time rush places can let you down, but not here! Excellent portions too, so great value for money!

My partner and I went here without any high expectations - the reviews are pretty variable, so it's hard to gauge. Staff were friendly on arrival, and when we had a question about the menu, the waitress was very helpful and clear. Food was great - I had the lamb shank, and my partner had a fish dish. Both came... I went here recentlywith high expecting have only heard good reviews however our overall experience was not very good. Firstly greeting by the barn on our arrival was less than welcoming or enthusiastic. After ordering drinks we asked for menus to a response of "there should be some about". Not very helpful to say the least. The staff in general... More
