So good we kept coming back

Despite the abundance of places to eat in this area, we returned a couple of times to eat here. We had four or so different items off the breakfast menu which were all delicious. The staff were very pleasant and helpful - the little place has a really great vibe.

I got the chicken and leek soup - tasty - for 5 Euro and my husband got the seafood chowder for 9.50. Also tasty. Cafe lattes were properly prepared. Got a carrot cafe muffin which was dry. Nothing wrong with this place - it just didn't do anything out of the ordinary. The soup and chowder were what I expected... More

They offer a lovely breakfast with huge portions! Everything is freshly prepared and they use fresh products. Moreover they serve an excellent coffee and it's wonderful to sit on their patio outside. The waitresses were all very friendly and kind.

Rambled in here by chance feeling like a sandwich and coffee. Took a shine to the picnic plate. I was going to order soup while I waited but luckily I did'nt. The salad came and could easily have fed my wife and myself. I can safely say I have never eaten a better, nicer, more filling salad. My wife had... More

Not overly busy, slow service. Had to ask waiter to take our order after a long wait (2 coffees!) then waited an additional 20minutes still no coffee. Nobody even standing at the coffee machine (apart from the girl making take away coffees only). Pathetic, left after 30minutes!! Need to reconsider their service standards - staff chatting instead of filling orders... More

a Sunday morning stroll along the river led us to this perfect little eatery. The sausage sandwich with home-made tomato relish was one of the best I have ever had, and the coffee was equally good. stayed here for over an hour sat outside on the bench soaking up the sun and the hustle and bustle of the city passing... Went to The Bakehouse for brunch last Saturday (28th March). I had their Potato Farls with bacon and egg which was AMAZING! The tomato relish is delicious and definitely the best accompaniment. It was a double egg and they were runny, perfect dip for the farls. Believe it or not, I couldn't stop smiling while eating my food. And of... More

After arriving in Ireland for the first ever time, we had been recommended to try The Bakehouse by a friend, so immediately sought it for breakfast. The bright pink building is certainly cute and there was a wonderful relaxed atmosphere inside, even though inside is quite small. The staff were very friendly, attentive and welcoming and there were some nice... More

I had lunch here with my husband and five year old son. The pancakes are superb, the coffee is excellent and the atmosphere is buzzy. I ordered the pulled pork salad, which was excellent. When I noted afterwards that it did not come with the rhubarb mentioned on the menu (which is why I ordered it), they did not charge... More

I went to Dublin for a weekend and ate at the bake house every morning. The waiters and waitresses were so friendly and helpful, the food came out fast and tasted so wonderful. I would definitely recommend!
