Tasty brunch

Had some brucnh here with friends yesterday. You'll always get something tasty and homemade here. I had smoked salmon and scrambled eggs with capers, tomato relish, cream cheese and some home made soda bread. Delicous. Tea is always made with loose tea leaves and served in a pot with a cup and... read more

I had meant to drop into Sheries (closed on Sundays) or The Lotts Cafe (online and on their window said they were open at 10:30, but not today I guess), but ended up at the The Bakehouse. There were already some people there and it was rated well so in I went. I was greeted warmly by the barista and... More

My boyfriend and I came across this charming little gem of a cafe while sight seeing in Dublin. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We ordered the sandwich and soup combo to share and it was delicious. Juice served in jam jars was a novel touch! We liked this place so much we went back a second time. Good... More

Friendly staff help set the relaxed atmosphere in this cafe. There's a great selection of cakes and pastries, as well as cooked items from the kitchen. Breakfasts are very tasty and well proportioned. Highly recommended.

Popped in for a much needed Sunday cuppa after a hectic weekend. Whilst we only had a drink and a cupcake, the service was impeccable, the cupcakes were moreish and hand baked which made a refreshing change. It was a delight to have Earl Grey leaf tea! Wish we had found you earlier in the day as we were drooling... More

This has become my first port of call whenever I visit Dublin. Early flight from Glasgow, get to the centre of Dublin about eleven. The quality of the food and attention to detail are fantastic and the portions generous. My favourite has become the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs which came with toast (of course, it's in the name) and... More

My husband and I noticed this gorgeous little place and immediately decided to walk in. The place looks as cute and fun on the inside as it is on the outside, very retro and colorful. The food was just perfect. We got the toast with baked beans, forgot the name of the dish (the very nice waitress recommended it to... More

We were extremely satisfied with our food and the decor and atmosphere were very appealing and to our taste. However.....we were appalled by the service. The staff were unhelpful, rude, blunt and aggressive - they angrily threw our cutlery and food at us, and we then watched them exchange stories about our table whilst pointing at us which made us... I got the chicken and leek soup - tasty - for 5 Euro and my husband got the seafood chowder for 9.50. Also tasty. Cafe lattes were properly prepared. Got a carrot cafe muffin which was dry. Nothing wrong with this place - it just didn't do anything out of the ordinary. The soup and chowder were what I expected... More
