This was a nice restaurant - with friendly wait staff and tasty dished. Nothing really stood out, over the other meals we enjoyed in Dublin. But for great service and easy dining, you won't go far wrong.

Went to viva on reading past reviews. Cant understand all the 5 star reviews. We had 2 paella, chicken and fish. It was the same mix, one with dry tiny pieces of chicken added and the other with a few clams and 1 mussel. Both reheated in the microwave. No flavour and very bland. We also had had grilled veg.... My favourite tapas restaurant in Dublin. This is a hidden gem and well worth the extra few minutes walk past the more central tapas places which aren't as authentic. The staff are mainly Spanish and are really friendly. The place feels very cosy and homely. I have been here a few times with my girlfriend and the food has always... More

Visited Dublin for a few days as a birthday treat. Heard good things about Viva and wasn't disappointed. Being vegetarian, lots of different tapas to choose from. Each dish was explained & the waiter very knowledgeable about ingredients in each dish & recommended the wine which was excellent to accompany our food. very pleasant evening sitting outside on the terrace... Stopped here on the way home from work and I have to say the whole experience was brilliant. The waiter and waitress were very friendly. We had a selection of 6 tapas dishes including Prawns in Garlic Oil, Chorizo, Chicken, Paella, Patatas Bravas and to be honest we would love to have tried more, definitely will do so on our... More

I visited here on a Friday evening at 6pm. We were the only ones in the restaurant but that changed over the space of a half hour. The welcome was warm, staff were friendly and helpful. We ordered a variety of dishes all of which were so tasty, especially the prawns. I had the house red which was nice and... More

Popped over to Dublin after a business trip out of town. Went looking for some dinner around 21h00 by myself and stumbled across this darling restuarant. The staff were so warm and welcoming, that while listening to live Spanish Guitar duo playing gorgeous background music and savouring the Sangria and tasty tapas I could easily forget I was alone. Great... More

Viva is a small family owned restaurant that is located a couple of kms outside the city center. But it is absolutely worth taking the short taxi trip. We decided to let our waiter decide the meny and the vines. Most of the tapas dishes were fantastic and so was the vine. Fantastic service!
