Had brunch here with my better half last weekend. The place was busy and there was a nice buzz in the place. The service was good and the food was tasty. I had the breakfast pie, which was quite nice. Seems to be a popular place.

had dinner Saturday October 25th at Mayfield. First time here , had wanted to visit for some time. Was not disappointed. Started with super tempura prawns reasonably priced at e8 approx. I had chilli beef tacos and friend had a great beef burger. Good menu with well balanced choice of healthy fish or salad options plus plenty of tasty less... More

I wanted to love here and first impressions were great, the decor is cute and kitsch and even though we had a 15 minute wait to be seated we didn't mind as it looked promising from the outside... but once seated we were almost forgotten about. Staff took 10 minutes to come along to tell us the specials then another... More

Me and my sister came to visit the tea rooms after visiting the grave .... My sister had to feed her 2 week old baby and was asked TWICE to stop breast feeding her child... Victorian tea rooms , fitting as the behaviour of staff appeared to be from this era .... Would not visit again

We had a great dinner with some friends, excellent friendly service and the food was excellent. The fish special on that evening was a winner. We have also been there for brunch and I would highly recommend that also. We will be back!

I was a big fan of mayfield cakes! Especially berries one, itwas a huge portion and good flavour, the last 2 times i have been there, it has been disgusting! Small piece, and all dry and hard! Looks like was baked by a 6 year old kid! Very disappointed! I gave it a second chance, not a 3rd! Actually they... More

Went to lunch with friends and although the menu looked lovely there was little scope for change to suit tastes. Staff were attentive but abrupt. We each had soup bar one; soup of the day was carrot, fennel and courgette which was lovely but the two extremely small pieces of bread served with it did not match the serving size... More

went with the other half for our anniversary brunch last month. anyways, I ordered the French toast. he ordered the breakfast pie. my French toast was tiny, two measly excuses for bread cut into fingers with a few pieces of fruit. shocking for 7.50; I work in a different cafe which also serves brunch and for the same price you... The worst attempt at french toast I have ever had the misfortune of ordering!I was expecting a stacked mound of golden brioche topped with seasonal berries and maple syrup. What I got was two halved, cold, soggy supermarket brioche rolls flattened and drowning in what was unmistakably thawed frozen berries.Appalling at €7.50...will not be returning.
