Went here with a few friends about 3 weeks ago for dinner had a lovely meal--choose 2 nice bottles of wine and plenty of choice on menu we really had a lovely night and all felt it was great value. Then went back a week later with my husband ------------only to be extremely disappointed---they had changed the menu and presented... More

Went for Saturday lunch. Reasonably friendly welcome, service fine and food OK but were sitting by door and the place was exceptionally noisy and felt we were sitting in a busy hallway - I was jostled by passing staff and customers several times. We ate up quickly and left - and then remembered why we had stopped going here.

Went here for lunch after a recommendation. Very small amount of sandwiches on the menu. I had the ham which had horrible sweet mustard on it. The ham was fatty and scant and was all that was on it. The soup was watery and just tasted of chilli. The salmon on rye was salmon on a mccambridge type brown bread... More

Called into Mayfield with a group of 9 for brunch recently. The place itself is really cool and quirky! The food was really delicious, I had the French Toast which was very fresh and so so nice. There also seemed to be loads of seats outside! It was really busy and in my opinion fairly priced! Will return..

I have been a regular customer of Mayfield over the past few years and it never fails me. I have brought visiting family and friends for breakfast, coffee, lunch and dinner and they have all loved the place. It is so individual, staff friendly and helpful and food is always delicious.

I love going down to Mayfield, they have so much to offer. I've been there for coffee with friends, dinner with my better half, dinner and show with friends, plenty of tables, plenty of room for buggies, friendly staff, the owner is always around. On Sundays they have a pianist, either playing outside in their sunny courtyard or inside in... More

Have been here regularly for brunch over the past few years with the family - brunch is always excellent - but we only recently went to Mayfield for dinner. Have to say that I was very impressed. It was hard to make a choice as most items on the menu appealed. Flavour burst from every dish sampled and will definitely... More

I went here recently for brunch with friends and was absolutely smitten with the decor and atmosphere! The place is cute, quirky and eccentric and the perfect place for a spot of people watching! The food was delicious. Absolutely everyone was happy with what they ordered and the staff were friendly and efficient. Will definitely go back!

Our second visit (after quite some time) and it is still fab. I had the French Toast (brioche) with berries - delicious. Service is fast and friendly. The setting is cute and cheerful and you can buy a piece of furniture (at crazy prices) on your way out or in. Prices for the food are very reasonable though.definitely worth a... More
