I enjoyed my visit to Robert Reades Public House. I was meeting a friend, I arrived first and felt no discomfort entering the pub or being there alone. I was immediately greeted by the barman. I liked the old look of the place; brasses were well polished etc. There were very few people in the bar, but a good mix;... More

Years ago, when this was Keatings, it was very popular, as it was an early house, and a favorite watering hole of football fans travelling across the water. It was nearly compulsory to call in here, on your travels. That's changed now, and it's gone more upmarket, but it's still a fine boozer. Busaras, the Garda Station and Social Welfare... More

Was down at the Ulster/Leinster rugby match & went in here with my dad before and after the match while waiting for the coach home. In my opinion you will be very hard pressed to find a pub with such friendly, helpful staff & such hearty tasty quality grub all served in a superb atmosphere. I always call in here... More

Great pub near the bus stop. We stopped in for quick drink ended up there for few hours. Staff all very friendly and went out off their way to welcome us, a friend was celebrating his birthday and they arranged a slice of cake with candle for him all free of charge. They offer great lunch specials we all had... More

Good service and atmosphere. Only few choices of food (rice or sandwich). Quite in the afternoon, with plenty of beer, and a vending machine for cigarette.

Reade's does private parties upstairs. I attended a party there recently and really enjoyed the party food - tapas, chicken skewers, sandwiches. Lovely. Staff were very attentive. Had dinner beforehand downstairs. The food was very good - simple bar food, but well presented. It's also a good place to have a drink alone, while waiting for a bus or train.

Can't recommend this pub highly enough. Karen is a star, if you're ever getting off the bus at Busaras pop in for a drink, a bite to eat or a cuppa! :-)
