Good place for a drink and live music

This pub has a very nice and lively atmosphere and very good live music. We only had drinks but the food coming out of the kitchen looked great!

I had dinner in the restaurant above the classic pub downstairs. Service was slow (at least they apologized at the end) and the food (we had the cheese and chili burger) was significantly below average even for bar/pub food standards. We originally came to have dinner & drinks with live music, but in the restaurant they only put on speakers... More

We were lured in by the beautiful outside appearance but it really wasn't what we expected. We thought it would be more upscale based on the outside. We debated leaving but were tried and stayed. The atmosphere was an Irish pub, don't expect anything else. We sat upstairs which was nice. My husband ordered the 10 oz rib eye which... More

Followed Sharon (ultra-talented songstress and guitar/fiddle-player) from her first gig of the night to this place and was not at all disappointed.

I was celebrating my birthday during Monday's evening at this pub. We got beers and cake, which was tasty. The stuff was friendly. We absolutelly loved the atmosphere! Live music and pub full of guests - we felt like in a typical irish pub and truly enjoyed the time there!

We were told where was "best" to eat, but we decided The Merchant's Arch looked good and the number of locals going in convinced us to try it. The drinks were good and the music was great. I had the cottage pie and my husband had the Auld Dublin Coddle. We agreed that the cottage pie was the best, and... More

I took my Mom to Ireland mostly for the music. The music here was top notch and the crowd was an eclectic blend of nations and ages. I wish there was better crowd control in front of the musicians (we are not all here to see random people look like fools) but it was worth the trip and was fun

We were hungry and the place looked interesting so when we were ushered in we had reasonable expectations....it was all downhill after that! Husband's steak was mainly gristle, son's was overcooked, vegetables were tasteless and watery, mashed potato was ...well, unpleasant. Chips were okay though...even though they were missed off the order the first time round. Oh and they got... More
