We (3 couples) had a fun evening at the Merchants Arch bar and restaurant. The food and music was good, but Louisa, our server, was excellent. She explained the menu perfectly and went out of her way to be certain we got what we wanted. the place was busy and she took great care of us.

This was a walk-in while taking a walk through the restaurant and shops area of Merchants's Arch. The place could be the model for a great pub - beautufully decorated with sparkling glass and polished wood. Nice and efficient waitstaff who took a moment to chat with us. You can't say anything bad about Guinness since we love it. Meals... More

Had dinner tonight across the Liffey (Temple Bar side). There was live music. Loud but pleasant. We sat upstairs which was nice and less crowded. We had the Seafood Pasta. Hubby says it was very good and nicely spiced. I had the Carbonara. It was good. The chicken was a bit over cooked but I am beginning to think that... More

We were on the last leg of our trip to Ireland spending our last 2 nights in Dublin. We were scrambling to find a good place to eat that had a good atmosphere. I emailed Rob and he hooked us up! I tried calling multiple times but they can't hear you with the music in the background so don't call... More

My friends and I stopped in for breakfast and learned that this bar also has music every night of the week. So we went back that night and enjoyed the live music. It was so much fun and the energy in the room was awesome. Worth a visit if you are looking for some local music.

After a day long bus tour, my adult daughters and I were tiredly walking back to our hotel, decided we were hungry and stopped for a quick dinner. It did take a while to get a table but they were very busy. Dinner was wonderful, my daughter's beef and Guinness pie was the best. After dinner and a few drinks I... More

Great food and entertainment on a Tuesday night. Alcoholic drinks were quite pricey, but this seems to be across the board in Dublin. Highly recommended, so much so that we bought the musicians cd off them and are going again tonight.
