Next to the Ha'Penny Bridge this bar seemed the perfect place to stop for lunch. Their prices were fair and the staff friendly. They had gluten free bread and were able to make me a sandwich, a rarity in most places I've visited. The sandwich was huge and I was only able to eat half of the food on my... More

We visited The Merchant's Arch on Wednesday August 27th. On arrival it was busy and there was a male vocalist singing by the bar. We made our way upstairs to a balcony area which overlooks the main bar. The food was served quickly and i enjoyed the Tuna and cheese melt and my companion had the Lasagne (which was a... More

We sat on upper level overlooking live music and floor below. The acoustic guitar player was excellent and played 99% english music (top 40 and classics). Food was solid irish food - cottage pie, fish & chips. Get the FRIED BRIE - it was amazing! Service is slow, so be prepared :)

Hi Thanks for the review. We assume your from Penn state from your profile? As you can see from your experience, we were extremely busy with the American football match on that weekend. We were overloaded with food orders in a short space of time. We hope to see you again soon! More

Called in here when I visited Dublin with my grandfather in July 2014, we spent ages looking for somewhere nice to eat and we were not disappointed with our choice! Lovely food and drinks and the staff were friendly and pleasant! Would definitely return

My husband and I went pub-hopping in Dublin but this is the best in terms of atmosphere, customer spectrum, music, food, service and location. We ended up visiting it 4 times in our 3 nights' day. If you only have time for one, Merchants Arch for sure. It opens early for breakfast too.

This place wasn't fun. The love music was poor, the place was really poorly lit, the toilets were down a lot of stairs and felt quite unsafe, and the drinks were extortionate. 2 shots of spirits and a can of red bull came to €17.90!!!!!!
