We spent an afternoon there. The atmosphere was very warm and cheerful. There was a good band playing while we were having a few pints of draught guinness. We were still too full from lunch to eat but all the food we saw at other people tables looked simply delicious

We visited here on a whim, and were overwhelmed by the happy crowd! Everyone was having fun with the live music, so we decided to stay a bit. With as crowded as it was, there were people willing to give up their table for us to sit, because we had just arrived! We had the fried brie which was not... More

Fantastic atmosphere, the place was buzzing, the music was brilliant and staff very friendly and welcoming. Hope to return to Dublin very soon and our first stop will definitely be the Merchant Arch.

We looked this place up online from our hotel room, when we got there we realised we had been right outside earlier. It's right by temple bar area on river front. Great place and the restaurant looks over to the bar area. Fab live bands played as we ate. Would definitely recommend this place to others...

We were walking down to another restaurant and a guy holding a sign for Merchants Arch was in the street trying to get patrons to come in for dinner. We had a few bad meals already in Dublin and really weren't expecting much, what a pleasant surprise! We were greeted at the door and lead upstairs to the restaurant area... More

Popped in here for a couple of late drinks over the weekend. The place was heaving with mainly tourists enjoying the music while dancing. There was a good party atmosphere and it was great to see so many tourists enjoying the night and particularly when the band played Irish traditional music. It's a nice place albeit a little on the... More

Hotel breakfast was just ok. 2x mornings we ate here instead. Fantastic old building, worth a visit just to see the spiral staircase. Late full Irish Breakfast, hot, tasty, friendly staff. But you can't beat a pint of Guiness with your breakfast. Will return.

Saw this bar after leaving a lock on Ha'penny Bridge. Clean and tidy inside with live music at lunch time. Excellent menu and food we ordered was lovely. My only gripe was that I ordered a large glass of house dry white wine. A tiny 125ml glass was delivered. I didn't query it as just thought I had been misheard.... More

Hi and thanks for your review. Most glasses of wine are pretty much the same measure in the area, with the only difference is the glass might be bigger! We'd love to see you back in with us again real soon! More
