Had lunch one afternoon here. The waiters were slow and seemed disinterested but the cook and the food were amazing. He really is talented! Loved our lunch.

We went here as two families - a group of 8 and had a great time. Great food, great beer, and great service to keep food coming quickly enough to keep our kids occupied and satisfied! Thank you for a great night!

Ate in The Sussex with a group of friends last night and i have to say its the best meal i have had during my stay in Ireland. I ordered the steak and not only was it cooked perfectly but it was high quality meat that just melted in your mouth. I chose the sweet potato gratin as a side... More

I've been to this place twice now. The first was as part of a group for a special event and the second was for some lunch with friends. Both times I've been more than happy with the whole experience. They have a great selection on the lunch menu and also some specials on the board. I'd have to recommend going... More

We oredered 8 steaks and each came exactly as requested (not like when we went to fx buckleys). Excellent food and will definitely be back.

Very impressed with this restaurant. Nice food. Amazing cocktails. The place is spotless and the staff is amazing. It's so hard to find a place like this with staff that is so helpful and welcoming. Thank you for the fantastic food and service. Will be def back.

The Sussex is upstairs above a tavern. It looks a little dodgy but once you get all the way upstairs the place is nice. We had nice food and great service. We had several nice meals here the fish of the day was excellent and so was the shepherd’s pie. The Guinness from downstairs was very nice.

After reading the trip advisor reviews and looking for a restaurant close to our hotel, Number 31, we decided to try the Sussex. A reservation is recommended for a weekend (and we had made one). We were seated at a table next to the open and small kitchen and enjoyed watching our meals being prepared. The food was excellent and... More

Delighted to have found this place! Having wandered upstairs from O'Briens after seeing the two course menu outside, we were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and service here. We got a great welcome walking in, tasty soda bread while we looked at the menu and our server was able to recommend a nice craft beer for... More

I went in with high expectations since its rated so highly on trip adviser but unfortunately I was left disappointed. My starter was swimming in garlic I love garlic but even for me it was over the top. The waiter stank of smoke it was like we were breathing in a cigarette! The main course was quite tasty. It was...
