Charming restaurant in a charming neighborhood!

When we arrived in Dublin and checked in to our hotel (Hilton Doubletree right up the street) we decided to take a walk and explore the neighborhood. We spotted M. OBrien's pub and thought after we checked out the city center we would head back for some dinner in the pub. When we returned we... read more

Excellent food. Connor provided great recommendations and service. We even went back on our last night in Dublin. A nice, family-friendly restaurant above a pub in a neighborhood. We recommend reservations as it is very popular.

This is the place to go for shepherd's pie - everything we tried was delicious, including appetizers, salads, main course, and dessert. Atmosphere was very chill. Highly recommended!!!

This was just what we were looking for during our stay in Dublin. Tasty Irish Pub fare ( Homemade soda bread, Shepards pie, Burgers and Steaks ) executed well and served with a smile. We chose the set menu, good value at 22 euros for two courses. The manager took the time to help us navagate our map of the... More

Went here after reading all the reviews on here with high hopes. Food was disappointing our chips were all broken as if they were the end of a bag and the fish and pea purée and tartare were all disappointing dessert of baked cheesecake with passion fruit was not good at all. Wife's burger was bland. Chicken main course with... More

We went here having read a number of positive articles recommending the restaurant. The friendly service was matched by the excellent meal provided and we were also given the choice of the early bird dinner menu at very reasonable prices. Certainly a restaurant deserving of its high standing, both for the very tasty food and very helpful/attentive staff. It is... More

My colleagues and I enjoyed an excellent meal here. We started with cocktails, which were above average. The homemade bread was delicious. We started with the mushroom soup, which was not too creamy, and was very fresh. I hade the hake special, which was not exceptional but was very good and well-prepared. The service was attentive and we loved the... More

The Sussex restaurant is located above O'Callahans Pub. We went into the pub when we saw the menu posted. The bartender said "go upstairs." We did and ended up in the Sussex. New menu. Food was good. nice atmosphere and reasonably priced. We had a chicken dish that was a rather small portion. Would we go back? It was close... More

If you are looking for a hidden Gem restaurant on the south side of Dublin, this is it! We booked a table on Friday and all four of us reckon it was one of the best meals we/ve ever had. It was so good, we went back the following night and had the best seafood linguine you'll find anywhere. Absolutely... More

We found that while walking around Dublin city many of the restaurants closed for lunch around 14:30. We were happy to find this highly rated restaurant was still serving lunch at 15:30. The restaurant is also just down the street from our hotel, the Doubletree Burlington. Our server was very pleasant and offered many helpful sightseeing tips for Dublin and... More
