Great little find in Dublin!

If you are looking for a hidden Gem restaurant on the south side of Dublin, this is it! We booked a table on Friday and all four of us reckon it was one of the best meals we/ve ever had. It was so good, we went back the following night and had the best seafood linguine you'll find anywhere... read more

We found that while walking around Dublin city many of the restaurants closed for lunch around 14:30. We were happy to find this highly rated restaurant was still serving lunch at 15:30. The restaurant is also just down the street from our hotel, the Doubletree Burlington. Our server was very pleasant and offered many helpful sightseeing tips for Dublin and... More

Was having a beer first in the bar on the ground floor, decided to go up for a meal. Took the 3 course early bird menu and all courses were clearly beating my expectations. Fresh tuna with advocado and wasabi for a starter, hake with couscous and mint yoghurt, lemon dessert. Friendly and accurate service, and being on my own... More

Had lunch today at the Sussex. Excellent menu, good quality food ( pasta was excellent). And as a bonus a decent pint available

My second time here and like the last visit was well impressed. It is casual dinning that ticks all the boxes, for me anyway! Will definitely be back..

We ate here on the first night we arrived in Dublin - the restaurant was quite quiet when we ate but soon filled up! We ate from the Early Bird menu which was quite limited but quite good value. I need to start with the free bread brought to the table while we ordered - absolutely delicious! The only issue... More

Dinner at the Sussex was again nice. Had the tuna and steak. Good atmosphere, a nice glass of wine and the food is not bad either :)

I had checked the menu on the internet but when I arrived there it was a different one. Anyway, I asked for the early bird menu which is a little more expensive than in the rest of the places in that area (21,95€). The starter and main course were nice but nothing special. What I liked the best was the... More

We ate here last night and the food was very good - the staff are absolutely lovely (attentive but don't over do it) and it is very reasonably priced. The only down side is that the menu is a bit limited (steaks, burgers, shepherds pie, fish and chips etc) but it is all very high quality and beautifully presented. We... More

Booked our late Saturday evening via phone earlier in the day. Upstairs from a cute pub. Good food-nice hearty portions. I had the lamb shepherd's pie which was delicious and need for the cold, rainy night. My sister had the fish, which was cooked beautifully. Salad was also nice. They have a interesting cocktail menu as well if you are... More
