We dined here on Thursday last for a special occasion. From entering we were greeted by very professional and friendly staff. The menu is limited and the staff answered any questions we had. The food was exquisite. I had the scallops and the thorn hill duck. Amazing. I would highly recommend locks brasserie.

Locks Brasserie is situated on the southern side of Dublin, nestled in a private neighbourhood and adjacent to a lovely, tree-lined canal. It's location is entirely unique and has a local but elegant feel to it. Most visitors to Dublin will need to take a taxi to reach this restaurant but the ride is brief and therefore economical. The restaurant... More

Friendly atmosphere, great service - and lovely food. Everyone in our group of 4 was delighted with their mea from the early bird menul. A good choice for a celebratory get-together and well-located by the canal. The seats can be rather close together, and the woman at the next table was drenched in perfume, which I found distracting from the... More

Dined here last night and it was a very special evening. Everything was perfect, from the setting of the table to the excellent service and the food, of course! The tasting menu was an absolute treat with the matching selection of wine. Beautiful decor of plates. The restaurant has a great atmosphere with its wonderful location, kind of laid-back simplicity... More

Dined here last Friday evening, having often driven by it and wondered what it was like! I was not disappointed. It was perfect. I honestly couldn't fault anything. Myself and my partner went with the early bird menu, which was two courses for €25 and was very good value. We ordered wine, sides, a dessert and coffee at an extra... More

Went here for a dinner with family after a relatives graduation. We were greeted by lovely staff members and shown to our table. The service was just amazing, the wine was beautiful, and of course the food was gorgeous. Was not sure how I felt about the french cuisine at first but I fell in love after dining here. Would... I've eaten in Locks three times now. Once in its previous incarnation (pre-Michelin Star) and twice since. In terms of food and service it has never failed to disappoint. Situated on the canal, an upstairs window sear affords lovely views. It benefits from being a little out of the city centre which allows a more relaxing atmosphere. The service is... More

We booked Locks for our date night. We were seated at a table upstairs by the window which was lovely. The restaurant was pretty and comfortable and the girl serving us was a dream. That's where the best things started and ended. My partner ordered a starter which he liked, we ordered mains and the delay in them arriving to... More

Locks Brasserie is located in Portobello which is about a 15 minute walk away from the Grafton Street/St Stephen's Green area. The restaurant itself looks out on to the Grand Canal and is a lovely tranquil setting for a lunch or dinner. H and I have been coming here since before Locks got and then lost its Michelin Star. We had a wonderful evening in this little gem, well worth a visit for food lovers. Food was delicious one person described it as 'scrumptious art on a plate'. The staff were very professional, providing excellent service, without being over the top! A wonderful setting on The Canal, with the swans swimming by, a touch of France in the heart... More
