Small, quaint restaurant with excellent service and food. The Menu was reasonably priced for the items on there, I would definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys good food. Only negative I found is that its like a maze to drive to this Restaurant from the Quays with one way streets etc. so plan your route in advance. Plenty of... More

The previous evening I had been turned back from a restaurant because I was dining on my own. I called Locks the following the next day and they were delighted to accommodate me. Those serving welcomed me and served me a friendly but unobtrusive way. The early bird menu had just the right choices on offer and the food was... More

I would have visited Locks regularly over the years and was always extremely impressed. In the past we had always gone for dinner however this weekend we opted for lunch. There were more staff than customers and some were not the most welcoming or amenable which isn't what one would expect from such an establishment. The smoked salmon starter was so... More

Had wanted to visit locks for a long time but the cost had keep me away. Glad I finally made it. It initially seemed like there were a lot of staff, 4, coming and going which was a bit over bearing as we were upstairs and it is a small room. Once I started eating I soon forgot about this.... More

Booked my favourite place in dublin and for sure best spot for Sunday lunch Value 25 euro for lunch great value But went for a la carte Ragout of rabbit was fantastic with home made ravioli. So tasty, braised but not over cooked so a nice bite on the meat and sauce nicely reduced superbe Smoked duck salad was so... More

Went here over the weekend with 6 of my friends. The whole experience was amazing. The atmosphere in the restaurant was really good. The music was great, the view over the canal is so good and there was a very relaxed feel to the restaurant. The staff in the restaurant were great and very helpful. One of my friends is... More

Had a good meal here on Saturday. Starters were all good but two of us had the rib eye steak and I have to say it was a little disappointing. It was cooked perfectly and the side of fries were excellent but the steak itself was very fatty and not much lean meat on it. I know you expect marbling... More

Used a groupon voucher and was very satisfied. I wouldn't rate it as Michelin star (and I know they lost it) but the food, wine and service was very good. I had goats cheese moose and duck for main. Scrumptious. My partner had smoked salmon starter and pea and mushroom pie for mains. The pie just didn't fit with the... More

this place is simply outstanding from the delicately balanced and we'll executed food to the witty and informative young waiter (he gave us great advice and was very human, as opposed to robotic) to the intelligent (and very good) music choice and beautiful view overlooking the canal, I simply cannot fault this place. the food was really well presented. not... Have visited many times and always been impressed with the food and excellent service. They ring thee changes sufficiently often so we can always look forward to something new and delicious. Game when in season is particularly good. Location is interesting with a nice view over the canal and parking is always readily available.
