Wonderful Food with Service to match

Celebrating my wife's Birthday with a intimate French Meal seemed like the right thing to do, and dropping in to Locks Brasserie without a reservation was just the ticket. We were warmly greeted when we arrived and given the option of being seated or starting off with a drink in the bar area. We... read more

Early evening meal which was great. Good starters and very good mains. My wife had fish and I had chicken. Good veg and overall very tasty. Good wine list. Good selection of wines for everyday and some for special ocaassion. Although it was early evening it filled very quickly and had a great atmosphere. Service was very good and we... More

We were here for a family wedding in October. My partner ordered his steak, blue. He still talks about it.. Best steak he has ever eaten! I would highly recommend this restaurant for the atmosphere and excellent food quality.

The service at Locks was great and they have a really good value early bird special. Food standard is high but there is no surprise and you wont be amazed with taste sensation. Would recommend.

After visiting this restaurant with important guests recently, we felt we needed to post this review. We did say it to the manager on the way out but he didn’t seem terribly interested. Locks need to train their staff properly! 'Would I go again?? NO. And that was just because of the most dreadful service we have ever had. The... More

Went here for a Christmas party so we were in a private room which was set out nicely. The staff were nice and friendly no problems. I ordered the vegetarian options, the starter was a beetroot and goats cheese mousse it didn't look appetising and had a strong fishy taste (my colleague thought this too) I asked to change for... I was not expecting much from a French restaurant, being vegetarian and finding French food overrated. However, nothing could have prepared me for the lack of veg options on the menu. When presented with a quickly made-up menu by the manager it was clear that the menu had been hastily put together, without any consideration for flavour, protein or even... More

Our evening in Locks culminated in one of the best meals I have ever had. I had scallops for starter which were easily the best I have ever had. It was beautifully presented and the flavours were fantastic. I had plaice for mains which was gorgeous. For desert I had the lemon and raspberry posset which was perfect. Our wine... More

Heard a lot about this restaurant, and it lived up to the hype. I had the smoked duck starter which was amazing, full of flavour. Main course i had halibut which was cooked to perfection. It's a little on the pricey side, but worth the extra cost as it shows in the food.
