After visiting this restaurant with important guests recently, we felt we needed to post this review. We did say it to the manager on the way out but he didn’t seem terribly interested. Locks need to train their staff properly! 'Would I go again?? NO. And that was just because of the most dreadful service we have ever had. The... More

Went here for a Christmas party so we were in a private room which was set out nicely. The staff were nice and friendly no problems. I ordered the vegetarian options, the starter was a beetroot and goats cheese mousse it didn't look appetising and had a strong fishy taste (my colleague thought this too) I asked to change for... I was not expecting much from a French restaurant, being vegetarian and finding French food overrated. However, nothing could have prepared me for the lack of veg options on the menu. When presented with a quickly made-up menu by the manager it was clear that the menu had been hastily put together, without any consideration for flavour, protein or even... More

Our evening in Locks culminated in one of the best meals I have ever had. I had scallops for starter which were easily the best I have ever had. It was beautifully presented and the flavours were fantastic. I had plaice for mains which was gorgeous. For desert I had the lemon and raspberry posset which was perfect. Our wine... More

Heard a lot about this restaurant, and it lived up to the hype. I had the smoked duck starter which was amazing, full of flavour. Main course i had halibut which was cooked to perfection. It's a little on the pricey side, but worth the extra cost as it shows in the food.

Spent just two short days in Dublin, its great but to find great food you do need to look around. found Locks and intrigued- michelin starred and nice location near parks and on canal. Set menu was exceptional, good value at 25€ for two courses, wine pricey but only because its good wine. Service excellent, ambience fantastic and a must... More

Enjoyed a great meal tonight in Locks - lovely relaxed atmosphere with fabulous food. As others have mentioned - not the cheapest (150 euro for 2 - 3 courses / wine) however well worth it for a special occasion. Look forward to returning.

The restaurant is in a nice area of town by the canal. We arrived late for our reservation and nearly missed out, but were seated in a large private room with just one table upstairs. I took the advice of the waitress and really enjoyed the beet root and goats cheese starter and the guinea fowl for the main meal.... More

This romantic, award-winning restaurant is my favorite. The result is perfectly executed, innovative dishes. The restaurant's wine list is impressive. Do not pass on dessert, which includes some interesting treats.
