I ate here on a busy Sunday night, the restaurant was full but there seemed almost like there was too much staff on, they were getting in each other’s way. We had the breads with dips and the salted cod for starter. The cod was really nice but the bread and dips were a bit of a let-down as they... More

4 of us ate here on a busy Saturday night. All of us thought it was excellent. The food surprised and delighted us. Our starters were wonderful and the mains hit the spot. There was a nice twist with each meal that added to the occasion. The restaurant was busy so book ahead. The service was excellent. The staff were... More

Went here after hearing some strong recommendations and would strongly commend it to anyone else! The menu has a great selection and something to suit everyone! The Polenta chips are definitely worth a try, very very tasty!

I went there last night to celebrate my final year results of a BSc. I used a free promotion voucher that entitled me to a free main course. The staff were really helpful and pleasant. Particularly Florian our waiter and Matt the manager. The food was excellent, as usual. Rustic Stone is one of those few restaurants that serve great... More

The restaurant was very busy when we arrived. It took a while to get to place an order but we didnt mind the wait. I had the sirloin on the stone, ordered it medium. The waiter advised I take it off the stone as soon as it arrived which I did but it was still over cooked. The side of... More

Our table for a family celebration was a lovely oval shape but it wasn't just the food that was cooked by the hot stones. We were literally dripping!! Quail on a stick for starter was delicious but awkward to eat as also on the bone and served without a finger bowl. Everyone enjoyed their starter but the girls who ordered... More

I luv the food here. Now its a bit on the pricey side and the service could be improved on but its hard to imagine getting healthy and tastier food anywhere else. I love the descriptions about each dish and how its good for you. I had the fillet, served with cauliflower and sweet potato never had better. I finished... More

I've walked by this restaurant many times, having not being impressed by McGrath's other venture Fade St Social on nearby Fade Street I'd never considered dining here. However after a long work event on a muggy, wet Thursday evening and wanting something different other than the Mexican and Indian options that dominate George's Street me and my friend hesitantly popped... My husband and I dined with another couple on Saturday evening just gone. Really disappointed. Firstly the service was poor. When I requested a few tasty sides, the answer I got was just read the menu. Everyone in the group agreed the waiter got out the wrong side of the bed. Between us we had a selection of starters then... More

Food; two people, had the mighty mustard salad which was excellent. The Rump of beef was below expectations; chewy and with a lot of fat. The Sirloin was really tasty. Our sides polenta chips and truffle chips were average. Chocolate soup was yummy! Service; It was excellent. Quick, pleasant and willing to help at any time. Atmosphere; vibrant place!prefer the down... More
