Absolutely awful service, very mediocre food, bad value for money. Waited for food for 45 mins, no apology. Half the wine on the menu wasn't available, no apology. Food brought came without the side dishes mentioned on the menu, no apology. Never again!

I live in the area and had a really positive first experience here. The manager / owner was there and couldn't be more friendly and helpful and the food was good - I had the chicken and chorizo burger and my partner had pizza, not amazing but nice. However my second visit was truly a terrible experience. We were not... More

Bel Cibo is located next door to the Light House Cinema in Smithfield. The restaurant is ideal for a quick dining experience before or after a screening. On this occasion we called in on the off chance of getting a table. We both ate an excellent grilled prawn and chorizo salad accompanied by a glass of excellent red wine. I... More

if I had read the reviews here first I would not have gone in. We ordered what was described as homemade bread used for their garlic bread. Sorry guys, no way was this homemade, it was reg white roll bread, worst ever garlic bread, ever! Two of my friends ordered pizza and agreed they were gorgeous. I ordered classic burger,... More

After researching places in Dublin that serve Gluten free pizza I thought I would try this place and one Sunday evening called in to have a pizza for the first in 4 years. We got a pretty grim welcome and a simple point to a table the waiter wanted us to sit at which was dirty, even though they were... More

Got a portion of chips and they are the singular worst serving of chips I have ever had - served with cheap vinegary sachets of ketchup. They were obviously frozen oven chips and were dry and undercooked. The place was dead on a Sunday, and little wonder. The toilets are located down two flights of stairs and are most confusing... Had their soup and panini for lunch - it was excellent. Bakery goods looked excellent. Will most likely stop there before leaving for home.

The staff are always friendly. The food is always great. I recommend the carbonara pasta and the risotto, both delicious. But remember, if you want to get the €10 deal on pasta or pizza you must be paying the bill before 6pm, they are really picky on this.

Nothing is really outstanding, the pizza I ordered was okay and served really quick. It was a bit weird that my beer served in lemonade glass. Staff was very friendly, even if the restaurant was full with customers. This restaurant can be found on the Square opposite the old Jameson distillery, in a nice but quite part of Dublin.

Had a pizza with a few friends in Bel Cibo before cinema. I wouldn't mind the menu written in mock Italian, and find annoying the pesto put at random everywhere (Irish think that whatever is Italian must have pesto in it). But the so called "mozzarella" on it- a yellowish and greasy thing- was simply disgusting. Avoid it.
