Enjoyable night at Le Bon Crubeen

Myself and the girls went to Le Bon Crubeen for dinner last night. The place was absolutely packed at 8pm, and it was buzzing. Really good atmosphere. The staff at every point of service were lovely, unpretentious and very warm. The set menu at 26 euro was exceptional value for quality food. We all... read more

We fell upon this lovely restaurant by chance. I went in to ask if they allowed children, which they do, and I was advised to book. I took this with a pinch of salt, they all say that don't they, but, boy, I'm glad I did. We got there for 8pm and it was packed. The service is excellent. The... More

We were a party of four. The food was nice but the place was a bit chaotic. We ordered four cocktails and they took ages to arrive. I spotted one of the bar staff nipping out for fruit juice! Anyway by the time they came the food arrived just after so you couldn't really enjoy them. Overall the service was... More

This was my second time at Le Bon Crubeen (pigs feet? okay...) and I've been equally pleased with each visit. The first time I didn't have a reservation, but the maître d' was able to seat myself and my foodie friend on the first floor. He was very charming and very accommodating when he didn't need to be on a... More

We have visited Dublin during the summer for many years, and it took us awhile to find good restaurants. Now we have three that we go to every summer -- Le Bon Crubeen and 101 Talbot are both in the O'Connell Street area and are both excellent. Le Bon Crubeen is friendly, has excellent food, and is not terribly expensive.... More

Very disappointed with this restaurant. Went on a busy Saturday night. Waiter was unbeliveably unhelpful and rude - it was as though we were putting him out of his way by asking simple questions. Food came out cold, barely an apology was given. Dessert and cocktails were the only good thing.

This was our first visit to this restaurant, I have to say we were more than happy with our experience from beginning to end. We had drinks at the bar before we were seated. We were offered a table but it was too close to the door so we were given a table at the back of the restaurant. The... More

We went here last night on the recommendation of a tour guide and plumped for the 3 course set meal for 26 euros. It was some of the best food I have ever tasted and I cannot recommend it to you highly enough. The wine list is great and the service very good from attentive/knowledgeable waiters. The only possible gripe... More
