Delicious

I was here for a family meal. For a starter I had a black pudding and pork tarrine which was delicious. The main I had beer battered fish and chips, the batter was nice and crisp and the fish was very tasty but the deserts where one of the best I've ever had, sticky toffee pudding was heavenly. Bland, unseasoned, flavourless food. Everything on menu seemed to be pre-prepared and chilled, even the cheese board (in a 'French' restaurant!) - old, stale biscuits so heavy with seeds and nuts they were almost indigestible, insipid, tasteless cheese (cold!) - a salt cod paste in a bowl for starters, no salt, couldn't taste cod, not sure if it was a... Visited with friends on a Monday evening and ordered from the early bird menu. Main I had steak, cooked perfectly to my likely. Dessert I had the ice cream. Friend had fish and chips with Cheese board to finish. She absolutely raved about the cheese board

I have been here for lunch a few times and have never been disappointed. The portions are generous, the food really delicious and the service friendly. Its unusual to find a restaurant like this in this part of the City so I am thankful to have such a decent place to go for lunch. Its not exactly the cheapest place... More

The staff here managed to do what I had struggled for an entire week to do......which was to simultaneously please the diverse group of 40 Irish and European teachers and students that my school had been hosting for a week in Dublin ... With challenges to deal with ranging from tight time constraints to teenagers who usually eat chicken nuggets... More

My first ever visit left me (for the first time in a long time) wanting to go back straight away. Visited Le Bon Crubeen on a Wednesday evening with two friends. We sat down after 7.30pm but still experienced amazing value for the standard of food we received. I chose seared tuna starter (amazing) and a rather awesome fish &... More

Came here based on the recommendation from our hotel! Hadn't booked but the waiter was friendly and sat us immediately! The melon with prosciutto and chorizo starter was just beautiful and just the right amount! The lemon and black pepper chicken was cooked beautifully with tarragon mash which was to die for! Decor was quaint and welcoming and staff couldn't... More

Found this place while walking round Dublin on Holiday. The food was fabulous and cannot be faulted however the service was a bit lacking. I asked what the soup of the day was but the waiter didn't seem to know. I told him i didn't mind while he went to find out but he spent the next 5 minutes just... More

We were disappointed as it had good reviews We chose the set meal 3 course €25 First course they had to substitute monk fish (because they hadn't got any) for bass which I happily agreed to but when it came to the bill we were charged full price for it ! It was served with an aubergine ragu very over... More
