Tasty food and convivial atmosphere

This is a lovely little gem on Talbot Street. We ate the crubeen starter which was delicious (if a little too filling!), fish and chips and one of us had the white chocolate and lime mousse, the other had the pear and almond tart. It was all very tasty and the service was great. The only downside... read more

A wonderful meal in delightful surroundings. We were a party of ten. Not expensive - we had the set dinner menu. No complaints.A must have for any visitor to Dublin.

We booked a table for two and were pleasantly surprised to be presented with glasses of champagne on our arrival. (Discovered later that our daughter in Australia had contacted the restaurant to request this and had not been charged!) Le Bon Crubeen was voted the number one restaurant in Dublin 2014 and we soon discovered why. We opted for the... More

Had early bird here recently. Competitively priced at 19.95 for 2 courses. Had crab crème brulee for starter at 3e supplement. It was grand but not earth shattering. My other half had the chicken Cesar salad which he enjoyed. Had duck leg with puy lentils.very tasty and hot. The cod was served on a tomato broth which was also tasty.... More

This is a lovely restaurant - food was excellent, service good and staff friendly. We had the early bird menu €19.95 for 2 courses. Which had enough choice - something for everyone. We very nearly returned the following evening, but we were not in the vicinity so had to eat elsewhere.

We really enjoyed our meal. It was my third time to eat here in as many years and it was every bit as good as previous visits. The quality and flavour of the food here is great. The salt cod starter was the highlight of the meal, it was delicious. The atmosphere is lovely, it's very good value and the... More

My food was excellent, however my husband and daughter's was just ok. We were seated in a back room, and it felt like they forgot about us. Food took a long time, and we would have to flag someone down to bring us more water, etc.

Not the best location but this is a surprisingly good eatery. Well priced menu, good wine choices and good service. Have eaten here with colleagues for lunch, with hubby for pre-concert dinner and with girls on a shopping day in Dublin. Well worth checking out - although its a little off the beaten track, its worth going to.

Received a gift voucher for this restaurant and my wife and I had a meal there last night. We had a wonderful meal. The selections were varied with some interesting twists. Not surprisingly crubeens were on the menu. I had them for starters and they were delicious. We both followed with Rib Eye steak and we each enjoyed our steak... More

Passed by this place a couple of times and decided to pay it a visit. Four of us had different meals and everyone had 3 courses the food was that good. Considering what we paid elsewhere for indifferent food this was great value. We booked in the morning for an evening meal and the staff remembered it was my wifes... More
