Visited this restaurant with two friends before going on to The Abbey and intended having the Pre-Theatre menu but none of the main courses grabbed me either on it or on the dinner menu. So I decided to have 2 starters - black pudding & apple which was mega and a very generous portion and scallops. The scallops were gorgeous... More

Staff very accommodating about changing a reservation to another night at short notice. Arrived on a Friday night to a great ambiance and packed restaurant. Great choices on the menu, server very knowledgable and gave good recommendations, and checked with the chef for a minor adjustment. Had a lovely meal, used a voucher, genuine value, we will be returning. All... More

We had been meaning to visit Le Bon Crubeen for a while having received the nod from an acquaintance that the food was good. We were booked for Saturday evening (7.30 pm) on a Menupages deal (45 euros for 3 courses for two). On arrival, we were greeted courteously, uncoated, seated, watered and menued -quickly but without fuss. The interior... More

First, ten out of ten for a lovely establishment in an area thin on the ground for choice. We had read about this establishment and had a good impression so tried it for lunch today. Service was good but functional with no interaction, no recommendations (we didn't ask for any but usually get them) and no mention of specials. Hubby... More

Service speedy and with a smile. Great menu and great prices for pre theatre dinner at Abbey Theatre. Food delicious, good portion size. You won't go away hungry here. Comfortable atmosphere.

Came after a recommendation from the barman of the Celt who run the restaurant. We didn't book but were seated straight away. Comfy seating and not too close to other tables. The waitress was very nice and very pregnant! We went for the set menu which was 25 euros each for three courses. Starters of pork terrine which was nice... More

Located in an area no renowned for fine dining this is a super Restaurant. Its located within walking distance of both the Gate and Abbey Theatre and has an extensive early bird menu. Its large but still retains an intimate atmosphere. Staff were friendly and the food good and value for money.

As you walk in the door you see plaques with a bunch of "best of" awards. They definitely deserve them. My meal was great, as was the wine. It appeared that my server was somewhat new on the job-he was hesitant when approaching and a bit too-scripted in conversation. He'll get better. I'll be back.
