Claudia is Superb

While the food wasn't great and most of the waitresses were anything but helpful, Claudia was amazing! It was evident that customer service was her priority and she went out of her way to be both kind and helpful. I was part of a very large group and she handled it brilliantly (while her colleagues... read more

A group of us dined here yesterday evening on recommendation. The first of our group arrived to be told they didn't have our booking, and were quizzed in a strange manner that suggested they didn't believe we had made the booking and were chancing our arm! None-the-less a group was leaving and they arranged a table. When the rest of our... More

I love this place, it was the first place in Ireland that I've seen that was a real Gastro Pub. Lots of places have that title, but this really is, Restaurant quality food in a really nice bar. I've eaten here for both dinner and lunch many times, I always go back. Great food, and some really friendly staff. I... More

Excellent post bank holiday drinks with friends at the Exchequer. Fantastsi service and the place was buzzing for a tuesday at 5pm. The girls had a number of cocktails including the house special - Ginger Pornstar and an AMAZING Key Lime Pie Meringue Margarita which was flamed at the bar counter for us. I enjoyed a Smokey Old fashioned with... More

12 months ago I would have given this place a 5 star review but after my recent experience I would not go back. What used to be a cool, classy place to have a drink or dine, the place is now covered in tv's playing soccer matches which kills any ambience. I took my boyfriend here for one of their... More

We had Sunday lunch at the exchequer and went for the roast beef between just two of us rather than the 4 as advertised due to us having a lack of friends lol. The beef was cooked to perfection although I'm not sure whether it would comfortably feed 4 so be aware. The staff were friendly even when we turned... More

I always stop in when I am in town. I really enjoy the Hendrick's High Tea. Can be a bit sweet sometimes but no bother just let them know before it's made. Had the Smokey Old Fashioned. Fun to watch them make. It's definitely smokey. Again, was a bit sweet for me so I just asked for a couple of... More

My teenage son and I had the venison pastie and my wife had the beetroot tartlet. Both were exquisite. The drink menu is full of options including craft beer, which is a relatively new industry in Europe (perhaps because even their mega-breweries are half-way decent). I highly recommend Fulcrum if you enjoy wheat beer. The wait staff and host were... More
