Local pub and restaurant

We were there Sunday evening and got the last table, a small one in the corner as the place was packed. I ordered prawns off the special board but they were out so I got fish and chips and my wife got the ravioli appetizer. The service was good for a very busy place and the food came quickly. I... read more

Walked in on a busy Friday and was accommodated without a reservation by the manager. Fair play! So we took that as a sign to order a fine meal, and it did not disappoint. Would eat there again! That you staff for finding us a spot and taking such good care of us!

I discovered this restaurant on Anthony Bourdain's show, "Layover." Since this was my first time to Ireland and Dublin was our last stop on a 10-day trip, I figured I'd be ready for a break from the fish and chips commonly offered at most restaurants. I was right. A delicious steak dinner was exactly what we all needed and that's... More

Having dinner with Friends here on Saturday night. The room is nice and has a good buzz about it. The staff are friendly and efficient., The menu has alternatives but the selling point of this restaurant is their steak, its showcased by the staff on a board very Gaucho grill like. Our friends had the sirloin and the fillet respectively... More

Since I've arrived at Dublin I have heard many locals boast about the quality of the meat. Being from Argentina I'm used to high quality beef. I'd recommend going on Sundays for "sup". The menu is cost effective (between 20-27 Euro) for either a two or three course meal. I had the foi gras, the rib eye and the chocolate... More

Went there for a business meal and the atmosphere is relaxed with very good service and excellent Irish humour. I didn't have the steaks, which looked amazing, but went for the fish platter to start, tasty; John Dory for main which was full of flavour. No hesitation in recommending highly - well worth a visit!

We were a large group of 15, who ordered mostly steaks. The meat was perfectly cooked, and absolutely no confusion about who had ordered what. The starters were as good. The group comprised of 10 different nationalities, and all agreed that the steaks were the best the ever had. The staff were excellent. The restaurant was very busy, and I... More

Had lovely lunch last Sunday with my son & his family. The staff were very helpful as I arrived first and Nessa in particular looked after me very well. I had the duck breast and it was perfectly cooked. I also had the chocolate desert - I love my chocolate. Anyway if you are passing the Chophouse you should go... More
