I'm not good about making plans ahead of time. I called the restaurant about 4:00and asked about a table. The gentleman told me he had an opening at 5:30. I said we will take it! We arrived about 15 minutes early and were seated promptly. We chose the oysters as a starter from the specials board and the tuna. Both... More

Near Aviva stadium and slightly further from RDS stadium in Ballsbridge, Chop house is far more than an average gastro pub. The atmosphere is warm and more like a restaurant. Famous for their several kinds of steak, the menu offers more than beef alone. The staff is most friendly, food delicious and besides that you can enjoy some nice irish... More

A Christmas lunch with friends brought me here. The location is good and the views from the windows keep you interested. The service is friendly and cheerful, while the place has an interesting selection of beers. The food, however, is not particularly memorable. After each course I found myself thinking “OK”, rather than something more enthusiastic. Starter, main, desert, coffee... More

Got bumped from a hotel ( another review) and ended up in Ballsbridge , a quick google maps found the Chophouse so myself and three hungry colleagues descended on it. Great atmosphere, lively on a Monday is a good sign. The service was really attentive friendly and helpful. Menus is simple plus a specials board , but all very nice.... More

Much trendier than we had expected (we had asked for a pub-style place on our first night in Dublin) but the food was delicious and, in the end, worth the additional expense. Loved that they brought out the beef for you to see the various cuts. Delicious desert.

We had the opportunity to taste some of the most prime cuts of beef in Ireland at The Chophouse Gastro Pub. We took a seat in the bustling and beautiful dining room where we started out with a seafood sampler consisting of prawns mixed in a chili sauce, smoked salmon, fried fish, crab coleslaw and haddock/salmon fried fish balls with... I've eaten here a few times and haven't posted a review. It's location is great and is ideal if you're in D4 area. Menu is basic enough but the food is extremely tasty and the steaks are fantastic. Wine list is impressive and the staff are knowledgeable. All the beef is locally sourced too.

Really glad to have checked out the Chophouse yesterday to celebrate my husband's new job. We were greeted by two smiling faces (I think one was the owner) and seated right away. I had a reservation but it wasn't a busy night, although I've heard a reservation is good to not be disappointed. We had two servers, one was very... More

Our group of 7 was warmly welcomed in for an early sitting. The place was already busy and staff were well up for it. As fish eaters we had a good few choices and they didn't disappoint. The meat eaters thoroughly enjoyed their dinners too. At the end of dinner we were keen to stay and were happily accommodated onto... More
