Great for steak or fish

My wife and I turned up without a reservation on a busy Friday night, the staff were very good, found us a table. Great steak for me, great fish dish for the wife and excellent service throughout. Will certainly visit again.

The Chophouse is a bustling restaurant with an experienced wait staff. They show you samples of the steaks at your table and are quite willing to make suggestions. The food was delicious--some of it served on slabs of slate. It was a very good experience and I highly recommend it.

We ate here quite late one evening the kitchen was near closing but they didn't turn us away. The food was excellent and presented beautifully. The place had a warm and friendly atmosphere and the service was spot on!!

This little place is fabulous - full of atmosphere and delicious food. The staff are all very entertaining and treat you like friends rather than customers. I had the pork dish that had an array of different cuts including a chop a cutlet and suckling pork with delicious crackling, carrots and potato and black pudding 'soil'. The steaks were also... Excellent food and friendly, attentive staff. What more could you want. Four of us enjoyed sublime food, cooked to perfection, washed down with copious amounts of wine, and some good-natured rugby banter with our waiter. (It was Eng/Ire 6 Nations weekend). I would definitely recommend, and can't wait to go back again next time we're in Dublin,

How things have changed since our first visit to The Chophouse and it makes me wonder if there is a correlation between an improving economy and a deterioration in service. We arrived 20 min early and were seated at a table that had not been cleaned off properly, considering this was 5.45 and the place was not busy with loads... More

I brought a big group (24) here and used the upstairs as a private setting. Set menu, high quality food, nice wine and great service.

Was recommended the chop house by the hotel while on business in Dublin. Two colleagues and went for dinner, I had the rump steak with parmesan crust, it came in a pea puree and I have to say this was the best steak I've ever had, and I eat a lot :p Cooked to absolute perfection and it tasted delicious.... Top class rib eye, outstanding quality meat and garlic butter green beans accompanied really well! Partner had the chicken, beautifully put together! One minor let down, It was a bit pricey! 2 mains (1 extra side), 1 starter, 1 wine glass and a coke came to almost €80. But for that quality of meat I had no problem paying! Well... More

You won't need it.. probably the best steak I have ever had.The garlic butter and pepper sauce were spot on. But they didn't get much of a look in, the steak was so good. Good value great service from joe and a well chosen craft beer selection. The toilets were beyond cramped.. you have to enter sideways.. The building has... More
