Authentic Thai

Ate here with a group of friends and had a lovely meal. The food is authentic Thai and really tasty and quite good value. Service was good and friendly (even though some of the wait-staff had a little bit of difficulty with english) . I'd eat there again and have already recommended it to friends.

We arrived at 5 pm on Saturday evening 28/03/15, the restaurant just opened, and very pleasant, smiley staff welcomed and brought us to our table. Drinks were on the table in no time and and we ordered our meals. Our well presented, colourful starters were followed by flavoursome, tasty mains. The attentive staff, were keeping in touch with us to... More

Opposite Skylon Hotel where we regularly stay whilst whilst visiting relatives locally. Had spring roll starter then lovely prawn pad Thai (noodles) and chicken with ginger. & spring onion with rice. Friendly, efficient staff made us welcome.. There is an Earlly Bird deal up to 7.30pm which we'd just missed which would have saved a few Euros, but great meal... More

We ate here last night and the service was terrible. The decor and atmosphere was lovely but very understaffed. The food was nice but a bit over priced for certain dishes. We asked for a side portion of vegetables and apparently received a main portion instead. It was a bowl of rock hard broccoli and a few other small veg.... More

Heard so much about this place and judging by the beautiful decor I had high hopes for it.But it was such a let down,my starter of fish cakes was 3 pre-bought,processed fishcakes which looked like and had the texture of a chicken nugget.A Thai restaurant who are not making there own fishcakes is a bad sign and utterly scandalous. The massaman... Found this little gem opposite the hotel we were staying in! Staff were very friendly and accommodating to our baby and we hadn't booked. We ordered chicken satay and spring roll starters - very tasty. The pad Thai was delicious. We would recommend trying.

My friends and I had never been to Chilli Banana, we were recommended by a family member. We had a really lovely meal, we all had something different and throughly enjoyed the food and atmosphere.

The beef and ginger stir fry was to have contained fillet beef and ginger. No fillet beef and no ginger! Very strange... The beef was an inferior cut and, as stated, there was no ginger. This place is a joke! The oriental girl who was informed on asking, " was everything OK?", stated that she would ensure that extra ginger... More

The weather that day was mild so we decided to warm our body, mind and souls up with a trip to the Chilli Banana having heard great things about the restaurant. The atmosphere and the honey was a tasty treat but the Soup. WARNING to soup lovers close your eyes and RUN for the hills - stay away from the... More

We have eaten a lot of Thai food at various locations, and we thought this was one of the best. I had a vegetarian dish, and it was great. I am not a vegetarian so to me it is a big deal when you can eat a dish like this and and really like it.
