If you are staying at the Ashling Hotel, or anywhere near Heuston Station, take a very short walk to Nancy Hand's on Parkgate Street. We ate there three times during our stay and were never disappointed. We ate near the bar, but there is a surprisingly large dining room behind the stairwell. Lunch and dinner were both excellent. The portions... More

Our group arrived here and were warmly welcomed. Our group of 50 had set menu and while it was made ready our host told us of is 100 year history. After a drink from the bar our starter of goat cheese in filo pastry followed by main course pork chops and potato in generous portions, followed by cheesecake, tea and... More

You walk into a historic bar that has furniture that is 100 years old. It has posters of Guinness from the 1920s. It is rather dumpy. The place has tours stop and eat here. The food we received was poorly prepared and lacked seasoning. Service was ok but pub was not friendly. I would go elsewhere There are places with... More

We were served promptly, and all was fine until my companion was just about finished the chips that came with her sandwich, and found a small stone/pebble. Luckily she hadn't eaten it, but it does raise hygiene questions? The worst part... More

Food is some of the best in Dublin and the service is top notch. Every time we asked someone to recommend a restaurant this is the first place mentioned.

Today was an Irish Football championship game so lots of people in the restaurant cheering their favorite team. I had Nancy's Seafood Chowder which was really good and served with two pieces of dark bread and butter which was also scrumptious. I washed it down with a diet coke. I would go back and sample some of their other menu... More

Nancy Hands was supposedly a lady of the night, she left behind a beautiful pub and her name on the door. I guess she was successful. We only went for coffee and a scone as part of a tour, one afternoon, but were very well treated and we had a great time taking pictures of the whimsical bar and restaurant.... More
