Great food, poor service

I bought a 'bite a bargain' voucher for Saagar in late April. On arriving to the restaurant, the first thing we were asked was, "do you have any vouchers or promotions?" We went on a Wednesday evening at half six. The place was empty but ok. I went to the toilets and it did look like a building site very unnerving walking down. We had a voucher from living social to spend 45 euro on food. At the end of the meal we had to have an argument with the waiter... More

Real good indian food served with attention from two waiters. A varied and good selection of different dishes and homemade bread. Can be recommended.

Place need a revamp. Toilets are like being back in India.Expected a lot more as we didnt even get to eat! The staff suggested we leave as we didnt tell them in advance of our voucher (didnt say to). The staff were obviously not welcoming and couldn't cope with the pressure of a few additionals. disappointing.

Recently some friends and I bought vouchers for this resaurant online from Grab a Bite and decided to try it out. Upon arriving I was disappointed to see the place was looking rather grubby and unkempt but as they had a big crown in there I figured the food must be special.. After being seated in a corner at the... More

Recently, I got a voucher for Sagaar. Before I booked a table I checked if I have to mention the voucher when booking. The voucher just said: 1.) Book a table. 2.) Print voucher. 3) Present voucher. When arriving at the restaurant we got a table in a corner, next to the kitchen door separated from the 'main' area. The... More

Great King Prawn chili masala, in particular. Lovely staff and the food is freshly made and of a really credible standard. The lamb is also good and has been consistently so, for the past 7 years since I first visited. Don't be put off that it's beneath ground level, it's worth getting a takeaway or if you have the time,... More

I really think this restaurant should take down all the awards they have hanging over their door, most of which were achieved over 10 years ago when the business must have been under different ownership. It's a bit of a sham. Very unwelcoming, the staff seem a bit disinterested. The place looks shocking, grubby, dirty and worn. There are holes... More
