Evening meal

The Knights Bar is part of the grand looking Clontarf Castle Hotel and is a very popular place to eat and drink with residents and locals alike. We visited early on a Thursday evening and by the time we left at around 9pm every available seat and table was taken. I'd definitely recommend booking if... read more

We had a couple of drinks then dinner around 8pm. Staff were lovely and helpful, especially Kate, food reasonably priced and as a vegetarian my toasted augbergine was gorgeous. will be going more often

The staff are so friendly, nothing was too much bother. The Guinness was divine and light snacks very tasty, although rather expensive. Irish coffee is also lovely.

We arrived on a very busy night and were politely warned by the staff that the kitchen was frantic and there would be a long wait for meals. We were served drinks and a snack while we waited and the staff kept apologising for the wait. We chose to stay as they were so friendly and the atmosphere was very... More

Had the burger which was gorgeous the strawberry daiquiris, great atmosphere which was mostly down to the fab staff, nothing too much trouble. Absolutely loved it.

This is one of three eateries at Clontarf Castle. We ended up eating here one night because both other places were closed for a wedding party. The menu options were a bit limited, mostly sandwiches and burgers and their likes. I ended up getting the gnocchi in a mushroom sauce, one of the few items that didn't fall into the... More

Food choice is really good and the prices are pretty reasonable for Dublin. The bar is just next to the hotel lobby area, accessible either through Hotel or the additional door out front. There is also a lovely outdoor seating area perfect for when the sun makes an appearance.

It was good but noisy. There was kids running back and forth during our drinks and meal. The parents didn't seem to care and the staff did nothing about it. Two different tables spoke to the kids to settle them down.

Had a drink here on Sunday at the bar. It was absolutely packed with people having food but there was plenty of room at the bar. It's a beautiful bar with lots of lovely features. The food smelled great too. I'll definitely go back for the gorgeous surroundings and the lovely chilled white wine.
