Dined here for the first time and will definitely be returning. The car park was jam packed on arrival with an attendant in place which just showed the demand immediately. We were served a sit down meal for an 80th Birthday and there is a carvery there too. The starter of blue cheese, walnut and pear salad was on par... More

One of the most average yet most expensive pubs in Dublin. Don't bother. You'll never remember being here, boring generic pub. City centre prices for the most unmemorable experience. They have a bit of a monopoly from where they are situated but if this place had a hint of opposition or competition it'd be closed in a year.

The Halfway House is just A1 for carvery. It run's from lunchtime until late evening. Always a great variation on the menu. Very tasty and always hot, freshly cooked food. Easy parking. Ample seating. Helpful staff.

The standard of cooking has moved on since the 1980s, but sadly not in most Irish pubs. Service was slow, order was incorrect, 'medium rare' steak was well done. Potatoes were cold. Was restaurant, not carvery.

We regularly visit the Halfway House for its yummy carvery, which is one the best in Dublin. They have a great selection of tender meats, perfectly cooked veg, delicious mash and gravy to die for! You can also get a smaller plate, which is still quite a large portion, and is excellent value for money. The food on the standard menu... More

Two of us stopped in for food on the way to a show in town. The food and service was good, nothing exceptional, wouldn't rush back.
