Post- theatre dinner

After the matinee show at the Bord Gais theatre, we headed towards Dublin city centre to have dinner. Following behind some gents in suits in Nassau Street, they turned into a doorway and headed upstairs. This turned out to be The Pig's Ear entrance! We followed up to the first floor, and were... read more

I went to The Pigs Ear for the first time last night for an Early Bird with two girlfriends, we had planned to meet in the Restaurant at 6.30 but one of the girls didn't arrive until 6.40 but the Manager very kindly offered us the Early Bird menu which actually finished at 6.30. The menu hadn't a lot of... More

Went with a group of colleagues, great food, great wine and very accommodating. Would thoroughly recommend the shepherds pie- better than my Mums!

I had a lunch in the Pig's Ear which was an enjoyable experience. The starter was tartar of Irish veal brisket which was one of the best tartars I have ever had. The main course, slow cooked duck leg, was not quite at the same level as the starter. I have to especially mention bread which was really good. Service... More

Popped in here at the end of January on a Saturday night without a reservation and were lucky to get a table for four just in time for the early bird (3 courses for €26.95) which was great value. The starters were fine but the absolute star of the show was the duck main. All four of us got it... More

My wife & I had a wonderful evening at The Pig's Ear in January of this year. There are multiple levels and we sat on the second floor which is a beautiful room. The service is very professional but relaxed which made us feel very comfortable for our first visit. We both had the roast chicken which was outstanding with... More

For starters I had the tartar of veal brisket which was sublime. Perfectly seasoned, shavings of baby radishes and beetroot added sweetness and a mild kick as did the... More

Enjoyed this restaurant. Try the pig's belly or the shepherd's pie they were both delicious. Reasonable price also.
