Dining at the Pigs Ear was a fantastic experience, whilst a small restaurant in terms of space the delivery of the food was huge! The presentation of the food was amazing with clever tricks used throughout the meal to create theatre. The selection of wild game and creative combinations made the meal fantastic, with excellent wines offered to compliment by... More

Below expectations and because it cost us a lot (200 for 2 with wine), we will not try it once more.

This restaurant has a nice atmosphere and I would have no hesitation in recommending it. The menu was good but might not be to all tastes ( large choice of game ). Our meal was very good although there was a over a 30 minute wait between starters and mains - no member of staff approached us to apologise for... More

I must warn my readers: we reserved a table for a New Year's dinner. The price was steep: 75 Euro a person, but the occasion was a special one, and, besides, we expected something special. The first problem with the restaurant is "logistic": the bathrooms are three and a half stories above - with no elevator! Then the food: the... More

I've been here a few times now with work and also with friends and i've always had a great experience . The pork belly is superb and the cheesecake is excellent. The menu has an interesting selection of game meat which may not be everyone's cup of tea but regardless of this, every time I've been it has always met... More

3 of us headed here recently for our annual christmas night out. We managed to get a booking that afternoon when our first choice was booked out, I'd say we were lucky as the restaurant was packed by 2000 and many who arrived off the street were turned away, showing just how popular this eatery is. We each had the... More

There's very little to say about The Pig's Ear as they do everything so inconspicuously well. The food is excellent Irish cuisine, the setting is lovely looking over Trinity college, the service is understated but exceptional. This isn't a place to be amazed, simply a place to enjoy immensely.

My wife and I were in Ireland for a weekend break. Having researched a few possible places to eat on our first night the Pigs Ear was the first one we came across walking into Dublin. The size, layout and friendly staff appealed to us, so we booked for that evening. It was a great experience. Faultless service and great... More

Holidaying in Dublin from Melbourne Australia. We were extremely impresses with this restaurant. I had the slow cooked beef and my partner had the venison. Both were expertly prepared and delicious. Presentation was also excellent. Portion sizes were perfect - just enough room for a shared dessert, followed by Irish Coffee. A lovely night out and reasonable (by Aussie standards)... More

I was expecting much better things when I popped into the pigs ear for lunch with my mam but it was really disappointing. Not worth the money at all, the food was not nice to be blunt. It was months ago that I can't remember what I ordered but I think that says it all. Won't even bother going again.
