My colleague and I were taken to The Pig's Ear for a business dinner last night. Given the venue's name, I wasn't too sure....but the food was superb. Presentation, quality, atmosphere - all top notch. One of the hosts commented the cheesecake was, "THE best ever!"

My wife and I were referred to this restaurant by multiple people in Dublin. They were absolutely right on. We didn't have a reservation but showed up early and they were able to seat us. Definitely make a reservation though. The service was excellent and very attentive. The menu was short but had some great choices and because we were... More

Appetizers and entrees were great. Inventive and creative use of local ingredients. However, the desserts didn't quite live up to the promise of the rest of the meal, which is why I'm giving it four stars. A bit on the pricey side but well worth it.

The Pig's Ear was my first meal ever in Dublin or Ireland and man did it change my expectations of Irish food. When I arrived in Dublin, I thought most of my trip's meals would consist of fish and chips (which it did, but completely by choice!) and other fried food you would find in a pub. A friend of... This little restaurant up a flight of stairs across from Trinity College was great. We loved the fresh bread and the lamb shepherds pie was incredible.

My husband and I came here for a meal to celebrate and it was the perfect selection. Everything was cooked to the highest standard, portions were just right and the combination of food was delightful. I would say this is the highlight of our trip to Dublin and we will absolutely be back for more. Service was excellent and the... More

Had lunch here last Saturday with two friends. Enjoyed the food - a well thought out menu. Great atmosphere. Everyone spoke highly of all courses. Only negative was, had to climb alot of staircases to get to the toliets which may not suit everyone.

Overall the food was very tasty, nice variety of options to choose from and really well presented. Some of the dished were probably just a little pricey considering the portion sizes, but then you pay a little more for good Irish organic ingredients. Staff were professional and friendly, and there was a lovely atmosphere in the place. Would definitely recommend.

Every once in a while we have a meal that nails it, and Chef Steven McAllister did it here at The Pig's Ear. The Tartare of Irish Veal was heavenly, Stone's Irish Beef Cheek cooked in Stout with a side of Duck Fat Roast Potatoes was to die for, and finished off with Brown Bread Ice Cream w/Milk Jam &...
