I had high hopes for the restaurant after a couple of stays at The Cliff House Hotel. However the entire experience left me under whelmed. The service was truly average and I was surprised that the service staff didn't seem to exude the service mentality of the Hotel restaurant staff. The bathrooms were little better than a Pub loo and... More

My husband booked here as a surprise for my birthday and we were really looking forward to it as a special treat. Sadly it didn't live up to expectations. The location was perfect, Stephens Green was magical with the Christmas markets, and the atmosphere outside was very special. Inside - first impressions were good, the building is very impressive. The... More

We had a team night out here. Started in the bar upstairs and then made our way to the ground floor restaurant. We chose from the regular menu and most of us had all three courses and coffee. There must have been 35 of us, and I was surprised at what a great job they did with the quality of... More

I went for the 3 course lunch here with friends for a special occasion. Although it is an expensive lunch , the surroundings, service and food make it worth the cost. All four of us were happy with each course and portion sizes are really generous. Staff were very attentive and it was a real treat to go here.

I attended a lunch at the Cliff Townhouse restaurant recently. The food was excellent, and the view fro the room was overlooking St Stephens Green. The level of service at the restaurant was exceptional. Well done!

Eating at The Cliff Town House is like eating in your very own corner of your fancy Georgian house, probably because it's a Georgian house reincarnated as a fine dining restaurant (with a gorgeous chandelier in the main dining room). We were given table in our own private snug beside the bar downstairs, which suited us just fine. The service... More

We had been very kindly given a €100 certificate from a close friend to go and treat ourselves at the Cliff townhouse restaurant. It was a Wednesday evening and the restaurant was busy with a good atmosphere. Service was very good. We shared a dozen native oysters which were delicious. My wife had monkfish and I had a fillet of... More

Lovely relaxing lunch. We noted no chocolate desert the waiter kindly arranged without any extra charge

We had lunch today in this restaurant. Food was good and room is lovely - nice fresh linen etc. Very clean, staff friendly. The only problem was we asked for tap water and the waiter brought a bottle of water with the restaurant's name on it. We assumed it was regular tap water! Only when the bill came we realised... A few steps away from The Shelbourne, right on St Stephen’s Green, is possibly the best seafood restaurant in Dublin. We went there on a Saturday evening without a reservation and could only secure dining at the bar counter. It was refreshing, as the staff shucked our oysters right before us. The oysters were really good and highly recommended here... More
