Spoiled by Successive Blunders...

Nice room, brasserie offering, light and attractive. But, then a lot of unnecessary blunders sort of screwed it up: (i) we had two vegetarians who asked for the veg option (saffron risotto proposed), other waiter taking order says, no I don't think we are doing this (we tell him other waiter said... read more

Three of us went for an evening meal on a busy Saturday night. Food was excellent ( the Venison was melt -in-the-mouth beautiful). Our Waiter was excellent ( unfortunately I cannot remember his name). The service was top notch and the surroundings and atmosphere was up market but relaxed.

We had a brilliant lunch today in this fantastic restaurant. The food was excellent and beautifully cooked. The setting is brilliant in a very classy 17th century room right in the centre of Dublin, on the iconic St Stephens Green. The service was marvellous, with very attentive, professional, friendly and courteous staff. It was very relaxed and exactly what we... More

Private room for team dinner on business trip. Food and service both excellent, old style decor and relaxed style.

After a few pints of local Guinness the heavens opened and we decided to visit the Cliff Townhouse, which was just around the corner from our hotel, what a find. They managed to squeeze us in on a table for 2, the food was amazing the service and staff were also fantastic. This is a must visit place

Cliff Town House is an excellent option for an early or pre theatre dinner. The food is very tasty and portions are generous. The service is excellent. Overall this dining experience was one that we look forward to repeating very soon again!

lovely place and incredible food. This is a lovely building in a great location. our food was absolutely delicious but we never felt comfortable as they seemed to be rushing us so much. we sat down at 8:00, we looked over the menu, ordered wine and food and we had our starter by 8:15, our main swiftly followed and we... had sunday lunch with friends just before christmas. was a little disappointed in menu - quite average in terms of selection and execution for price and reputation. we ended up going for the steak - side dishes unremarkable. dining-room is large and quite echo-y - we had to change table as noise from coffee machine was distracting. Service was good... More

We treated ourselves to a return visit to the Cliff Town House on St. Stephen's Green as part of a well-deserved period of 'swanning around'. Firstly, the starred entrance to this beautiful house promises much of what is to be found within. Saturday lunch, two courses for a little more than €20 is such good value, given the location and... We had an early bird family celebration meal here in January. One of our party had a serious food allergy which was discussed in advance of our arrival and numerous times during the ordering and serving phase. Even with all that she was served a dish which if she had eaten would have resulted with an A&E visit for sure.... More
