A Tasty and Affordable Tourist Trap

This place knows exactly what it is. Much like the leprechaun-filled, fiddle-blasting Carroll's Irish Gifts chain, this restaurant is aiming for the out-of-towner. It's sign is a fluorescent green shamrock and it's menu is all the Irish/English "classics." That being said, their food was on... read more

Brought some friends over to enjoy some Irish cuisine, should I say, as they went ahead to sit at the table, one particular waiter realising that they have a barrier language he started making stupid jokes towards my cousins and made them feel really uncomfortable. Food to be honest is average, used to be better. So thanks for being an... More

Arrived in Dublin early afternoon on a Monday. The restaurant only had a few tables taken up when we got there. We ordered Guinness Stew and Sausage and mash which were both very tasty. The stew serving was huge and very filling. Also had my first pint of Guinness of the stay which was fab!!! The staff were friendly and... More

We called in to The Quays for dinner on a Sunday evening when looking for somewhere to eat in Temple Bar. The restaurant is very busy and the staff very efficient at getting the meals out however they could be a little friendlier to improve the experience. My boyfriend and I both had burgers off the lunch menu as it... More

We both had stew. I had traditional irish stew, my husband the Guiness stew, Both we very good! We stopped in the bar downstairs on the way out, they had a band and the place was crazy with young people and a lot of fun!

Went here for lunch with some friends. After paying In full with tip I was accused of not paying the bill infront of the entire restaurant. And did not receive any apology. Honestly the most atrocious and unorganised dining experience I've had.

Called in on the off chance and it was surprisingly lovely. The presentation was very nice and there was a varied choice, something to suit all tastes. It's definitely worth a try.

We stopped in for lunch after walking the street looking for an authentic eatery. It felt a little less authentic than we expected but still had an old pub vibe. We were seated upstairs. There were lunch specials as well as regular menu items. My companions ordered the soup&sandwich special and I went with the burger. They really enjoyed their... More

I'm always a little suspect of restaurants with staff standing outside the front door trying to drum up business. This place, like many along Temple Bar, had such a greeter. The place is really busy and we were fortunate to get a table upstairs in the corner, with windows all around. The people watching was good but the food was... More

Situated across the street from an outdoor book market, we wondered into the Quay to sample the local pub experience. Because it was on a Saturday, all pubs were teeming with people. Music flowed out of every location. I wanted to sample some good Irish fare. So, the waiter recommended a bowl of Irish Stew. True to his word, it... More
