Ended up here at 3.30pm on a cold afternoon coming up to Christmas for a boozy late lunch. Really nice place. with comfortable chairs. Started with kirs. The waitresss recommended a nice bottle of wine, which was lovely it was a bit pricey at 32 euros. My lunch partner had the Christmas menu. I had... read more

We went to this bar today for lunch, there where 8 of us. We where seated in the basement beside the kitchen. The seating area was cosy looking but as we where right beside the kitchen it was nosy and my chair kept being hit by the kitchen door. When we ordered food most of us decided to have the... More

Gorgeous wine bar in central Dublin. Staff are attendant without being overbearing or intrusive. The wine list is broad with options for all budgets, and the sharing platters are delightful. The outdoor seating is a welcome addition. But most of all, the atmosphere is relaxed and intimate. You feel you could sit there all night.

My favourite places in Dublin. Cosy design, good atmosphere, absolutely delicious food, and the most impressive wine list. I have been there many times in the past four years, most recently twice this week, and never left dissatisfied.

Stopped in for a glass of wine and decided to also have a cheese plate. Loved the quiet ambiance. Very small, cozy and quiet enough to carry on a conversation. Great wine menu. Waiter was helpful in choosing wine. Small cheese plate was quite enough for two. Just the place for an afternoon of restful conversation.

Here I go again, but this time its a good rant!.. While visiting Edinburgh during the Fringe Festival Aug 2012, I was treated to a 'wine tasting' given by a lovely woman named Claire Blackler (I think :-/). She made a humourous comment that stuck with me....'going out for a meal should be all about the wine list and THEN,... More

Called in a couple of times and always seemed to be a nice crowd of friendly people in there. The wines range from normal to exotic and expensive, so something for everyone. Didn't try the food, but it looked good too. Good service, but the olives were a little stale. Recommended

We were looking for a place for a light food and a good bottle of wine. We came across this restaurant and had an unforgettable experience. After much searching, on a menu that resembles an encyclopedia, we chose a white wine and a deluxe platter. Summarize, we had almost three wonderful hours .

We walked around Dublin looking for a place to have a long leisurely lunch - Olesya's was a special find. Excellent food and wine with a lovely ambience. A perfect end on a last day in Ireland.
