If you enjoy service with an attitude then this is the place for you. I've never felt so degraded from the attitude and lack of service from the bar manager of this pub . I would never return until they change the bar manager .

surprising to read bad reviews about this place! We popped in here for a quick drink before dinner and returned afterwards. Lovely cosy pub with plenty of tables and chairs, it wasn't packed but was busy enough, there seemed to be a lot of locals which was nice to see. Didn't sample the food but would like to go back,... We regularly come here for lunch and after work drinks and have always found this place to be one of the best in the area. The food is very good; they have a carvery lunch every day with alternate specials and if you fancy it there is a sandwich/wrap counter on the other side of the bar. With regard to... More

The bar has recently been refurbished and is now far more suitable for business meetings than in the past. It has plenty of seating and the corner booth is perfect for a lunchtime meeting. The staff are pleasant and the food is pretty good too.

I enjoy my beer pints most of the time in this bar. I often visit 2-3 times in a week with my friends. But today I was here for the FIFA Cup matches and I ordered for a pint of Bulmers and Heineken and was asked 10€. I was surprised with the price and he was charging others 4€ for... More

I was surprised how spacious this place is - it is not your usual pub where it is jammmered on a weekend night and people can barely move. We went for a few drinks after dinenr so the time was about 12pm but still managed to get a table for 6 (!!) and order our drinks comfortably without a major... More

I have lived in Ireland for 3 years and found life to be very un-affordable due to many reasons (recession, 15% unemployment, over priced housing), but plenty of pubs in the area have tried to decrease prices for the customers that keep the establishment operating. Portobello Pub: They choose to raise the price of beer after midnight. They could care... More

Some pubs rush a Guinness, but the pourers at Portobello allowed the proper "rest" time for each pour. The breakfasts were great and the couple appetizers we had were good.

Great ambiance. Great service. Great beer. A little crowded on saturday. But that just goes to show how good it is. GO THERE
