Fabulous food and service

Very tiny basement .high quality French cooking. Charming service. Excellent set menu with several choices on each of 3courses was very god value at 35.5 euros. All in all the best dining experience we had in Dublin( no small praise as we had 3 five star meals.

A small business dinner for a group of 6 The food was great - really nice, fine dining. Great food, nice wine, great service. The place isn't huge so booking will be a must for groups like ours. All this can be pricey however if you avail of the early bird choices the final sentence at the card terminal will... More

I had high hopes for this restaurant from reading the reviews on Tripadvisor. It is located in the basement of a Georgian building in Clare Street Dublin. It is small and compact. The chairs in this restaurant are somewhat uncomfortable so you are unlikely to sit for a long time. Food quantities are small and while the flavours are interesting... More

We love hunting out little gems, and this basement restaurant lived up to it's reviews. Only a handful of tables, means it is perfect for a romantic meal, and comes with constant attention from the staff. The French chef even popped out to settle a debate on a mystery tasty ingredient. Every course was inventively presented, and very tasty. Hunt... More

An excellent very small basement restaurant. The food was delicious. The hake I enjoyed for my main course was the best piece of fish I have eaten for a long time. Service was attentive but relaxed. If you like good ingredients carefully cooked and beautifully presented I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

This is a tiny bistro in the basement of a Georgian building on the north side of St. Stephens Green. The atmosphere in the restaurant was great, all customers were in couples and I imagine they would struggle with larger groups. The Hake my wife had was perfectly cooked but it was hard to be jealous when I had the... More

Pure excellence - although a little quiet on the night we went we had a brilliant meal. Smoked haddock with quail egg starter and some lovely Irish lamb as a main were very well cooked. Excellent friendly service. Couldn't fault anything.

I've walked past this basement restaurant over a hundred times in recent years. We went for dinner recently and were blown away. You descend steep steps into a warm welcoming restaurant. Joyce's shadow lurks in the history. The waitress is very pleasant and welcoming. Seats are taken and salivary glands eagerly anticipate a delightful smooth warm feast. They are not... More

Went anticipating more from reviews but enjoyed the service. Went for the Jazz night but squeezed into small room sitting in the band. Though they were very good too close for comfort. Need to knock down dividing wall and provide comfiest seating to stay all night. The waitress was charming . My husbands starter was outstanding...the smoked haddock but main... More
