The Blackboard Bistro understands the simple art of Risotto and a starter of leek and bacon risotto with fresh oregano, lemon zest & creme fraiche proves this point beautifully with all the flavours balanced, expressive and just right. Great place to eat!

Really nice bistro, pleasant place eat and very good food!! Service was very attentive and helpful. The smoked haddock is one of the best starters I've ever had!! Not bad value if you get down for the early bird menu too! Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Dublin!

My fiancé and I enjoyed a meal here on a visit from Scotland. Located central but away from the hustle and bustle, it proved to be the perfect choice! A charming atmosphere, with friendly, attentive staff, and a well priced, menu. I enjoyed the pork and my fiancé the steak. Both were delicious! We would love to return.

In a great location in Central Dublin, Blackboard Bistro serves interesting, well flavored dishes at reasonable prices. In an intimate space that would seat about 20 diners, the service staff is friendly, gracious and accommodating to special food needs. We loved our dinner there.

Visited here with family while on an extended weekend visit to Dublin. The reservation for 6 was surprisingly easy to make for our preferred time on a Saturday night, in spite of the fact that the bistro was full by the time we were halfway through our meal. On Saturday evenings, diners choose either 2 or 3 courses of freshly... More

The food at the Blackboard Bistro is excellent. The French flair of the chef associated with what are obviously freshly sourced ingredients makes for memorable meals. The service is very pleasant and efficient.

We booked this restaurant for a special occasion for a group of 10 of us. The warm welcome by Marianna made an instant impact on us all. The intimate setting provided a homely atmosphere. The food was delicious and enjoyed by all. There was a good choice and the portion sizes were just right. A few personal touches by the... More

It's kind of tucked away and down some steps but when you walk in it's a lovely place. Not too big and not too small - just right and nice a quiet. There's a good menu with something for everyone - just about and a reasonable selection of wines (well they can't carry every brand can they) the food we... More
