I had my fortieth party here recently. There is a function room on the first floor that is a good size with outside terrace at the back and also a second floor covered terrace with adjoining indoor room. We opted for the second floor as you can set up your own music system there. The terrace has a bar and... More

Been there for drinks only and had a lovely night. I would recommend it. The place is nicely decorated, prices are OK and friendly staff.

I've been here a few times for lunch with work. The food can be hit and miss, some items are nice and some are so awful you can't eat it. The good: Nice atmosphere, layout and seating. Items such as the club sandwich or Blt are fine for lunch and reasonably priced as with chips it's under 10 euro. Guys... More

We were a large group and no issue reserving a few tables. Nice decor and pleasant surroundings. A good variety of draught beers including their own sikas light for €3.50 which is excellent value.

Ate here with a group of work colleagues for lunch. The food was very slow to come out. Fair enough we were a big group (10/12), but waiting 50 minutes at lunch time is not ideal. THe food is tasty and served in generous portions. I had the burger which was good and the general consensus was positive. Its a... More

We came for lunch last week, a group of 7 girls. We all ordered and food arrived. Two people ordered potato skins but they had ran out of them. I got Chicken Satay, it was ok, just didnt really work well with whatever flavouring was on the chicken skewers. Everyone was happy enough with their food although nobody really thought... More

We we're here with a 40th Birthday celebration. The 2nd floor was reserved with the smoking area near by. Very badly planed, as the doors are left open with the cold and the stink of smoke coming in. The music was dreamy and mellow. Food smelt nice. Two toilets upstairs are bisexual. This didn't work as one lock was broke... More

The food was a lot better than I was expecting seeing as Solas is a bar. The food was fresh, tasty & reasonably priced. Can't complain I'd go back again for another casual meal!

Went to Solas bar after walking past and reading their menu, which seemed enticing at the time - we just wanted a decent beef burger! The burger we received infact tasted like very bad quality Lamb burger (Yes, Lamb)!! Did not taste like beef at all - I just hope this wasnt during the horse-meat scandal! Very dissapointed considering the... More

Salad was horrendous and expensive and took 2 minutes to prepare (always a bad sign). Waitress was grumpy and miserable looking. Felt miserable myself in the place.
