A fab Italian in the heart of Temple Bar

I have been to La Caverna twice now and my last visit was for the Early Bird which was very reasonable and the options were great. I bought a groupon deal thing for wine and cheese board, which was great value by the by. The cheese board and wine were lovely, the staff were polite and friendly but we ate and ran because of the smell. It was horrible, sewage or the smelliest mop in the history of the world... I don't know but yuck. I've... More

The garlic bread starter wasn't great, the rack of lamb was very fatty and was retuned and replaced with a pasta dish (which was enjoyable) but the carbonara was poor and a side dish was wrong. The staff were great and did what they could to resolve our issues which i thank them for. The wine was superb and I... More

I enjoyed an excellent minestrone soup, a tasty and tender fillet steak, and the Bailey's cheesecake, at this small but uncrowded restaurant. Service was good and obliging and I could not find fault with any aspect of this restaurant, which I found by chance whilst walking round Temple Bar. Not cheap, specially the wine I chose, but then you don't... More

Don't come on a Saturday night expecting a quiet table for two. We eventually decided to leave before ordering having been first placed next to a baying ladies tables, and then relocated to a table where nobody asked us if wanted a drink . Hopeless. We left

This is such a wonderful place. It has maintained the personal attention that you want in a restaurant and non of the pretentiousness. The food was really good quality and the service was excellent. Next time you are strolling through Temple Bar, past all the tourist touts....keep walking. .......round the corner to this lovely place. You won't regret it.

The service here was very good. It is is a nice intimate restaurant although I was a bit surprised at the added 'attraction' of goldfish in the table!!! The food was fine - no better. Pasta dish I had was ok but there was a flavour or two missing to make it really tasty.

Don't be deceived by the simple outward appearance, this restaurant is a gem in the heart of Dublin! The service is top notch and the regular refreshing of water glasses - provided for every table - was a lovely touch. It's a shame my chocolate brownie was slightly overcooked but otherwise the food was delicious & the wine we chose... More

This little place has personality and nice solid food, staff are very friendly and for a place on the middle of Dublins tourist area you feel like a local! Food is simple Italian, well cooked and nice waiting staff.

We went here on our last night in Dublin for a meal and definitely wish we went here every night of our trip! It was simply amazing! They seated us in the wine cellar downstairs which was beautiful. The food was to die for, simply amazing and the service was high quality. We would definitely visit again!
