Fabulous food and service

We went to Hugo's on a recent weekend trip to Dublin. It has a fantastic location in Merrion row near St Stephen's Green. We had a table downstairs and the atmosphere was fantastic. The menu has something for everyone and each dish was beautifully prepared. The staff are lovely and very... read more

Went on a Saturday night. Simply the best meal we have had in Dublin. With friends and they felt the same. Staff are friendly, decor is nice . The only thing missing is a spirits license. Very affordable.

My husband and I went on May 2nd in the evening around 8 pm, it's atmosphere is dim and romantic. I had a lovely glass of Taittinger's champagne. They gave us tasty bread one made with Guinness. To start we shared dressed crab, baby gem lettuce, blood orange, roasted red pepper aioli it was good I'm not much for seafood... More

Great food, friendly staff and lovely ambiance in the heart of Dublin. My husband and me have been several time to Hugo's and we haven't been disappointed once. They have a nice selection of wine and a great menu. I recommend Hugo's to food lovers like us.

Booked this restaurant online on Tripadvisor recommendations & wasn't disappointed. Food was excellent & good value I thought. The wine list was disappointing & hideously overpriced, but I find this to be the case in most decent restaurants. My only real gripe was the slow service. We went on a Saturday night, & the place was packed, but service between... More

On a recent stay in the Shelbourne hotel, the concierge recommended some nearby restaurants when I asked him for a list of options. Hugo's was on the list and is just 1min walk from hotel. The decor is unusual.... Felt like I was in Belgium. Staff are very friendly and attentive but it was the food that most impressed us.... More

We were planning to go to another restaurant on this street but it was closed. We ended up in Hugo's instead and had a cracking meal. Dressed crab salad, a fantastic roast chicken and a plate of Irish cheeses. At around 22 Euro for 2 courses it's really good value as the quality is so high. Interior of the restaurant... More

Hugo's is perfect. The decor is carefully and beautifully done. Very romantic and European. The menu is incredible. The wine list is very good. The service was impeccable. You might need reservations. Ask for either the small table near the reception desk or one on the banquets.

I visited Hugos as a result if it's reviews on tripadvisor and wasn't disappointed. Lovely ambience, nicely decorated but the food just blew me away. I opted for a salad that are often unimaginative but this was a taste sensation. Fab ingredients well prepared and presented, I will return for it again. My friend opted for a chicken dish, very tasty... More

Trying to decide on a restaurant in Dublin seemed an impossible task, considering the choice. We ended up choosing by style and location in the end. Sounds rubbish? This was probably one of the best meals I've ever had! I had the special soup - tomato and basil - so rich and flavourful, followed by the seared venison, which was... More
