Amazing

We went to Hugo's after a long day shopping and drinking in Dublin and even though I had drank a few during the day I can safely say this was one of the best meals I have ever had! My partner and I had our evening meal here, I had beef with mash potatoes and the trimmings and she had... read more

My wife, 2 daughters and I had decided on a last minute weekend break to Dublin and foolishly hadn't booked restaurants on Friday and Saturday evening. Got sorted out in the hotel (Shelbourne) on Friday but Saturday was difficult to get anywhere. We walked past Unicorn and tried to get in there but it was fully booked. The doorman walked... More

Had a lovely weekend in Dublin me and my hubby and this wee restaurant is somewhere we will never forget and for all the right reasons. We were staying in the Merrion Row and we happened upon Hugo's and thought we would give it a go. My hubby had the daube of beef and I had the venison dish and... More

We were here last night and had a gorgeous night. I had the deep fried Brie to start which was lovely and the rump of sirloin with chips and tomato and watercress salad for main. The steak was beautifully cooked and definitely one of the best steaks I have ever had. For dessert I had the chocolate mouse which was... More

We booked a table for four on Sat 14 Feb and were shown to a downstairs area. It was like being packed into a sardine can, the space or lack of space was crammed with 4 tables and one alcove table. It was dark, the toilets, right by the kitchen, were in a word, disgusting. What ever happened to health... More

After a memorable day with my partner and having watched Ireland beat France was looking forward to meal. Met at reception by 2 female staff. Queried my partners booking and a loud brash American head appeared and she stated very loudly " were we in the right restaurant." Treated us as if we were stupid: probably drunk fans who just... My husband and I enjoyed a beautiful meal, with attentive service in very comfortable surroundings. Our only grip was the portion size being too large. .. but we ate it all as it was so lovely and rolled home. Our waiter was very friendly and made us very welcome when we walked in for a late dinner at 8.30pm. We... More

Went with my better half for a set menu at Hugo's last year for Valentines Day (late review, plus I can't select Feb 15!!). The food was beautiful, wine was delicious and service splendid. Hugos was absolutely perfect for Valentines, everything from the light to the layout. The romance was abundant. Highly recommended.

The ambience is wonderful and the waiting staff are fab but our meal was not. Six starters, three brie, two tepid, one cold. a cold platter also with no bread. No one liked... More

I am sorry for your recent disappointment with the visit to Hugo's. We were aware of the issue with the steak and sincerely apologise, firstly, for charring the steak, and secondly, for serving the wrong steak to your daughter the second time. I really do appreciate you taking the time to write a review and complementing the staff. I hope... More
