A 'Must Try'

We made reservations tonight to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary along with another couple on their honeymoon. We knew to expect the olives and bread to be 'fun' to start us out. And I knew that the Verdura Fritta were 'calling my name' since we booked our reservations! But what I did NOT... read more

Had dinner here on a Sunday evening, we were walk ins, and the place was really busy, but had gotten quiet by the time we left. Our waitress was lovely and was helpful, talked us out of starters as we probably wouldn't be fit for mains, and we were glad we didn't have any. We had the trio of pastas,... More

We popped into Carluccios for Lunch on our visit to Dublin. My wife had lasagne 14.45 euro's and I had Gnocchi Gorgonzo 13.45 euro's, both dishes were ok, we had to wait about 40 minutes for the food which arrived luke warm. The service was excellent though. Total meal cost with soft drinks 44.65 euro's.

Had a very nice dinner with two friends on a Friday night earlier in July. We started with a delcious veggie appetizer that was more than enough to share. My mushroom pasta was the favorite of the three mains and I also enjoyed the tirimasu for dessert. The restaurant was quite busy and had a fun vibe.

Why would anyone eat in an Italian deli in Dublin and then one that is part of a large chain to boot? Because it's authentic. The minute I walked in the door I smelled the pungent aroma of sharp cheeses and cured meats. Beautiful pastries filled the cases and a tower of chocolate chip meringues (like I had never seen... This may not be fear for the people that work there now but it's something that happened a few years ago. We found a hair in the batter on one of the calamari rings. That is not good but for three of us the unforgettable thing was to See the reaction of the lady manager when the waitress show her... More

Highly recommend this restaurant. We had several courses from starters and "while you waits" to dessert and everything was fantastic. The dishes were well prepared and perfectly seasoned. The tortilloni with Chianti braised venison was superb. Our party also had the giardinara pasta with the small spinach meatballs. The passion fruit meringue was to die for. Service was great. Would... More

Very average Italian food. Relatively inexpensive, not bad by any means but nothing to rave about. Great location for pub hopping afterwards away from the tourist trap of temple bar.
