cheap, cheerful, ahead of the peloton!

If some folks aren't impressed by the decor, this is the place for cyclists. Romano himself is a very good competition rider, and enagage him in conversation about bikes and it takes a long time to order your pizza! He seems to have managed to meet a lot of famous riders althuogh he doesn't claim... read more

Best value lunch deal. His spaghetti bolanagese is excellent with his pasta home made. His pizzas are very thin based and are made to order.

Well what can I say about this little Gem, i walked in with my mother and we where greeted instantly by genuinely friendly staff, we thought we walked into the wrong restaurant as our party hadn't arrived and explained to the owner we where looking for our family, they where very nice about our confusion!! A few minutes later we... More

I have been going to this place for fifteen years and have never had a bad meal! The pizzas are special and I am not a pizza lover! Spag Bol is also a real treat but have recently tried the steak and it was top class! This place does excellent lunch and evening meal deals and really is hard to... More

Hmmm, I wouldn't go so far to say the service was lukewarm. There was no explanation on the menu of what the 'lunch special' for €7.97/9.50 is exactly, when I asked the waitress I was told "Pizza". Some of the toppings on the pizza were no longer available but remain on the menu - adding to the confusion. Beware that... More

Pizza and pasta Irish style Italian - great early bird and lunch deals - I particularly like their pizza and their carbonara. They've a decent inexpensive house wine and the staff are friendly. It's got its own unique personality - a lovely local business I'm always happy to support.

Love going to the place, the staff are always so friendly, love the atmosphere and the food is great. Very tasty. Pizzas are amazing. I am always comparing them to everywhere I go and Romano's always wins. Gem of a spot, decor not what you would expect but in my own opinion It adds to the character of the place.... More

Just love this place. Yes the decor is outdated and it is far from a bling bling trendy eatery, but if you are not looking for that, and want simple excellent Italian food, this is a great little spot. The staff have all been there for years, and I have found them to be very friendly. The Pizzas are superb,... More

It's just good value. Homemade pasta. Great pizzas. Great Tiramisu. Great early bird and lunch offers. Not posh or fancy, but food great.

Initially thought we would not eat in this Italian as it had a limited lunch menu, but the food was lovely. The staff friendly, whilst we may not have gone there for dinner, a lunch menu @9.95 was perfect.
