Good value. That's all about the pros. Not sure how people can get fooled, this place pretends to be Italian but to Italian folks their menu looks offensive to say the least. They have copied and reinvented typical dishes and added random ingredients. Nowhere in Italy you'll find carbonara with cream and mushrooms, or the "extra garlic" option! Italian cuisine... More

I am a regular in Romano's and have never been disappointed. It's early bird menu at €14.95 for 4 courses is without doubt the very best value one will get in Dublin. For a starter, there is home made soup which is always excellent or a seafood cocktail. For mains, there is a choice of pizzas, pastas and perhaps chicken.... More

We have eaten here many times in the past when in the Capel street area and we visited again recently. We were both very disappointed with the quality of the food served. We both agreed that the quality of the ingredients has dropped and we were not happy with our dinners. Pity as it had always served good food and... More

I visited this "Italian" restaurant on March 22nd 2014, a Saturday afternoon. I paid a visit with my 2 young sons 4 & 6 years old. Being greeted, in an Italian restaurant by a Chinese lady, should have set my alarms bell off but my sons were hungry so I wasn't in a position to leave and find somewhere else.... More

Dined here for the mid-week early bird special - great value! €14.95 for 3 courses and the pizzas are gorgeous! The kitchen is in the middle of the restaurant which can leave a post-eating smell on your clothes. Not what you want if you're heading out on the town! Carafes of wine were €10 each and the red was very... More

The food is good but the decoration and environment leaves something to desire. We were waiting some time for food but nothing excessive, price was reasonable

Just had a three course lunch for £9.95. Great value. Food was very tasty and service quick and friendly. Just what you want when on a time limit. Will go again .

I had often passed this restaurant which looks like a 1960's Italian family restaurant caught in a time warp but was attracted to actually try it by their great value 3 course meal for €14.95. I was glad I did. While this is not really a place for a "night out" it is quirky and well priced. Firstly it is... More

I and some colleagues used to eat here regularly, the food is not bad, yet the attitude of the staff is not exactly a '100 thousand welcomes'. I would never come back here for a very simple reason , the last time we ate there I asked for some extra bolognese sause and would you believe it I was charged... More

Great place for a pizza with excellent food, and great value for money, A bit of the beaten track but well worth finding this place. Pizza's are some of the best I've ever eaten (including numerous visits to Italy) but go for the early bird for Pizza - its bigger than the lunch one. Never had a complaint when I... More
