good food but rude maitre d'.

The maitre d' was very rude which colored the atmosphere for the night. The maitre d' refused to honor the daily specials which were posted on the window outside. Consumer beware. The waiter service was good as was the food. We would not go back it was an unpleasant experience.

I had read the reviews posted here about this issue with the male, bald headed waiter/manager but as we had visited the restaurant a few years back and enjoyed it, we thought we would go back and invited three other friends to join us. When we arrived, this staff member pointed to the small room to the left and told... More

Dined here recently with a party of 6 for a birthday event. From the moment we entered we felt swept away to Morocco. The décor and atmosphere was simply wonderful. Seating was well placed and the service very friendly and authentic. The food was colourful, tasty and exotic. We enjoyed the Moroccan house red wine with our meal. Much to... More

Visited El Bahia last Thursday Night. It was very cold and wintry outside hence town was quiet as was restaurant. It was my first time in a Moroccan restaurant and I will definitely be back. The staff were very friendly when we arrived. The waitress who was very friendly explained the menu to us and made some recommendations. The wine... More

I really looked forward to visiting El Bahia when celebrating the anniversary of a special trip to Morocco. The restaurant did not disappoint. The owner was very kind and devoted to excellent service; I really enjoyed talking with him about Morocco. The atmosphere was very authentic and took me back to the Morocco of which I have such warm memories.... More

We booked for four people on a Tuesday night at short notice. The welcome from the young Moroccan waitress was genuine and warm. Immediately on entering through the ornate front door, it is clear that this is a special place. Walking into the eating area is like entering one of Tangiers' traditional restaurant. Great attention has been paid to the... More

I have been here with my boyfriend this evening for dinner. The food was tasty and fresh. Mr Mustafa (the owner) was really nice and warmy person. We recommend this restaurant to all persons who want to try a different and good food. Mery & Pasquale from Italy ;)

Four of us wandered into El Bahia and got a table promptly. Foregoing starters we went straight for the tagines. One got the cow's tongue tagine which despite the actual cows tongue had a lovely rich sauce - the couscous was beautifully flavored and the pitta helped mop up the sauce. A lamb tagine was also had, the only gripe... More

In the hope of getting some authentically Moroccan food, we decided to go there, especially that they had all these amazing offers advertised on the door: 2 courses for 14euros, 3 courses-only 19.95! We were greeted by this man who appeared to be the manager(bald guy with a fake smile). At first he told us they didn't have a table and... More
