Shocking service and poor food

Went on my birthday for lunch to the bar. Showed ourselves to seats, an older barman said 'are u eatin?' We said yes and he left menus down, we were not offered drinks. Ten mins later we ordered and managed to get a drink that time. Starters were fine, for main we both got fish and chips. My... read more

Thanks to all the team @ Harveys . Sean at the reception, Nancy in the dining room and Column in the Bar. What a weekend we just had. Lakeshore suite was beautifully appointed and what a view of the bluestack mountains snow capped with Lough Eske at your feet. This is where I had my breakfast

My first time here for Sunday carvery. Really delicious food. We had soup first which was really good. Starters were nice. The only thing I would improve on it slightly more choice with starters. If you don't like seafood there isn't much choice apart from salad. That said food was devine! The main course was the star of the show.... More

First visit to Harveys. Its a bit out of the way and we were getting a bit grumpy as we were only calling to see what all the fuss was about. But we were glad we did. We had 1 drink and soup & sandwich in the bar and let me tell you it was delicious. The bar is so... More

Was back again in Harvey s Point Hotel last Sunday, alas we didn't book so had to have lunch in the bar. While it was good and more expensive than the Carvery, it was not the Carvery. Lesson learned. Book next time no matter what time of the year it is. Will be back for the Carvery

We always visit Harveys at least once a year, but sadly the ;last few years although we have enjoyed it the experience and meal were not as good as it use to be. We had dinner here on 30 January 2015 and it was one of the most amazing meals I have had in a long time. We had ordered goats cheese to start but before it arrived we were given a small cup of spiced butternut squash soup and bread. The soup was beautiful. The goats cheese was very tasty. I had...
