Great home made food

There is a great range of food to choose from, both main meals and smaller meals such as sandwiches and snacks. I especially love the range of desserts they do. I recommend the club sandwich and cheesecake they have!

I love this little restaurant not least because of the friendly service. I popped in today for lunch and was amazed at how good the service is when it's always so busy. We ate fresh goujons of cod which were so fresh and tasty. The Owner noticed that we hadn't been given lemon wedges and raced off to the kitchen... More

We stayed in Donegal town for three days, and each day we came to the tea room for breakfast/lunch. This family-run restaurant is located on the Donegal Triangle and is super quirky in its decor. The staff are very friendly and always served with a smile! The food was tasty too, generous portions and all locally sourced! would definitely recommend... More

When we visited on a busy day we found a well organised queuing system and attentive staff (helped by an excellent owner whose presence is essential; stress levels seemed to increase with staff in his absence!). Food (lunch) was excellent, Ploughman's recommended. Coffee also good. Cakes looked glorious!! Will definitely be returning and this time for cake...!

Strolling around Donegal town we decided to have lunch in The Blueberry Tea Room. I had been there a few years ago and really enjoyed the food and the ambience. I was delighted to find it was as good today as it was on my last visit. It's not unusual to find a place has dropped its standards over time... More

My husband and I had lunch here. He asked for mussels Charlie brought them in a pot so big it looked impossible that this was full of mussels but it was and what mussels. They were cooked in a fabulous broth/sauce and we still speak about the abundance of mussels. I was very jealous as I had asked for a... More

Cheerful cafe with a good range of breakfast items, especially the home-made toasted granola served with fruit, honey and yoghurt. Service was quick and our friends missed out on lunch there because there were no spare tables.

We called into the blueberry tea room in july for an evening meal. It was really busy and great buzz about the place. The meal was really good and the staff very friendly, The gentleman who seems to own the cafe was very warm and welcoming and went around each table talking everyone. It was a lovely evening.

This tea room is on most of the tourist maps, so we thought we'd wander in. What a little gem! We had a delicious roast plum and almond cream tart and excellent coffee. The service was brilliant and it in no way felt 'touristy'. We're going to try and find time to go again as their main meals looked excellent... More
