Worth the Wait

Arriving very hungry in Donegal during a downpour we spied this tiny cafe across the square. Full to the brim with diners, we had to wait a quarter hour for a table then were tucked into a table towards the back. There are very few places you'll visit which have the warming charm of the blueberry tea room in Donegal. You can't help but get the smell of freshly baked scones and bread when you go here for breakfast and these are temptingly piled high as you walk through the door. You'll do well not to order one the minute you... More

Stopped in for a few minutes and ordered coffee and a scone. Both were fabulous. The atmosphere in the tea room is pleasant and warm. Great place for breakfast or lunch!

The Blueberry is consistently good. Great menu. Excellent food. Wonderful service. Small children well catered for. Best choice for light bites and tasty specials if visiting Donegal Town.

While shopping in Donegal, we stumbled upon the Blueberry Tea Room and I am so glad that we did. We were seated right away and the service was incredible. We were all very happy with our meal and our waitress was awesome!!! I highly recommend the soups and half sandwich, a great bang for your buck! If in the area,... More

We called in for lunch & found the owner very friendly. He explained the menu very well & was obviously very passionate about his restaurant. We went for the soup & sandwich combo. I had the tomato & red pepper soup & my wife had the vegetable broth. Both were excellent. The kids went for paninis & our youngest had... More

A very busy little cafe with a good menu. Had to queue for about 20 mins but the staff were very good and took our order before we sat down. Food was ready very quick. Desert menu good but was cold when ate.

Popped into the Blueberry for breakfast as this café was recommended to us by a local, it's a great place to eat, no frills, just honest to goodness good food, great service and great value. The Donegal fry is fantastic value for money and set us up for the day, and the staff constantly come around topping up coffee mugs... More
